Matthew 11:20 ( Then he began to upbraid the cities wherein most of his works were done, because they repented not)

Miracles, and signs revealed Jesus Christ as God’s manifestation in our midst, and also revealed that he was sent by God as the anointed one.

But signs and wonders don’t necessarily mean the ways to save humanity or make them repent; it’s just to believe that Jesus Christ was truly sent.

Some prophets sent by God performed Miracles in the Bible, prophets like Moses, Elijah, and Elisha, it revealed that they were sent by God but this didn’t allow men of their time to repent, but most of those who followed Moses out of Egypt died in rebellion because they didn’t believe in any of his miracles.

Where are the people whom Jesus healed and cast out demons when he was about to be crucified?

Where was the blind Bartholomew whom he healed on the way to Jerusalem, where was the woman with the issue of blood when people were shouting crucify him?

Where were the madman of Gadara and the ten leperous men?

All of them were not where to be, they received their Miracles and departed to nowhere.

Had he done the mighty works he did in chorazin in tyre and in Sidon, they would have repented in dust and ashes, had he performed miracles in Sodom, they would have changed from their wickedness and not been consumed by fire.

Miracles are meant for babes in the kingdom but it’s not a criterion for their repentance, they need it to believe that Jesus truly came for their salvation, it remain for them to remain in him if they desire.

Though signs and wonders may be a sign of divine presence in a congregation but it doesn’t bring salvation to those who have already programmed their mind for failure.

Some will receive a miracle of healing from God but will later curse him if he relents in doing more.

Those whom he provided bread and fish for in the wilderness later came to him for more, but the moment he introduced himself as the bread they needed for eternal life, they ended up abusing him and asked him to prove his originality.

Some churches were established on a miracle, the moment their leaders changed the messages to repentance and holiness they started grumbling, they want it as it was from the beginning and to continue till the second coming of Jesus Christ.

This is what happens to those who don’t build their ministry on the whole counsel of God.

Their followers have programmed themselves for bread and butter messages anything that will change their taste buds wasn’t permitted.

This is what put those who established their ministry on only signs and wonders, who lack the message of holiness to seek other sources of power to keep their members.

Jesus wasn’t ready to keep followers by only feeding them, he wanted his people to know more of God than only miracles.

It’s the word of God that made the difference between the crowd and the apostles, the crowd followed for bread but the apostles followed because it’s only him that have the word of eternal life.

What if you are following because of what you received or what you’re expecting from him? Or do you believe in him because he is the word of life?

It’s this kind of orientation that built faith in God, Jesus Christ knows who truly believes in him and who follows for the miracles of bread and fish..

A test will come one day that will shake the foundation of your faith in God, and your real nature shall be exposed for the world to see.

Whether your faith is built on the solid rock that never fails, or it’s built on a sandy foundation that will collapse after heavy storms.

Those who built their faith on miracle signs and wonders are the ones who parade deliverance grounds and move from one prayer mountain to another in search of signs.

Jesus isn’t ready to give any sign but the signs of Jonah in the belly of a fish for three days and three night, this is the real sign that need to do with the salvation of the world, its only those who believe in it shall be truly saved.

It’s those who believe in that sign that will sit down on master’s table and eat the food set for them in the presence of their enemies, but the crumbs that fell from their tables belong to the dogs who only seek a miracle without being saved.
