There is no way you will remember the price that was paid for your salvation, the Passover lamb that was killed for your sake who is Jesus Christ Himself.
Is it the punishment that he took for your sake or thirty nine strip of cane, the three days he spent in the heart of the earth to bruise the head of the ancient serpent to get your soul out of hell where you are bound with fetal, or the vinegar he took for your sake and the crown of thorns on his head so that you might have the crown of glory.
If you think of all that he did to get you out of bondage, nothing in Egypt will amuse you that you will like to go back again, even the garlic and cucumbers will be nauseous to your soul, all that you will desire in life is the presence of Jesus Christ alone who is the hope of your glory.
Is it the entertainment of Egypt that was draining your soul of the real joy of his presence that will make you turn back or the pleasure of carnality that will not allow you to enjoy the goodness and the presence of God that will pull you back?
Or what do you think about the enjoyment that is inviting demons into your life, or the way of the world that opens the door for Satan’s attack to have leverage on your soul?
If you always think about Christ and his sacrifice you won’t dare say you want to go back to Egypt and lose your soul to the hand of Satan.
The Bible says, Who can separate us from the love of the Lord, is it poverty or riches, or death or sickness, tribulation or distress or persecution; famine or nakedness or peril or sword, neither what is now or then will separate us from the love of God.
Apostle Paul said, “For I am persuaded, that neither death nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers nor things present nor things to come. Nor height nor depth, nor any other creature shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord”.
The Bible says, ” he that spare not his own Son, but delivered him for us all, how shall he not willingly give us all things we request from him?
Whatever situation you’re going through, you shouldn’t have the thought of going back. The plan of God towards you is good, not evil, to give you an expected ending.
Whatever you need, like the people of the world, it’s also provided in the package of salvation. All you need to do is seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be supplied to you.
God wants to destroy Egypt, the power of sin in our lives, that is why he passed us through the wilderness of life, he purifies us through the fire and water of afflictions to remove the garbage of Egypt from our souls.
The joy that is waiting for us at the end is not to be compared with the loss of Egypt.
That is why the spirit of Egypt must be destroyed permanently in the wilderness of life, with all its longing killed before you can become who you are created to be.
Prayer: Father Lord remove the love of Egypt from my soul let my love be directed to you always in Jesus’ name.
