Luke 12:1,2 ( In the meantime, when there were gathered together an innumerable multitude of people, in so much that they trod one upon another, he began to say unto his disciples first of all, Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees which is hypocrisy, for there is nothing covered that shall not be revealed; neither his, that shall not be known)
There are certain things that Jesus Christ warned his disciples of.
He warned them to beware of covetousness and the leaven of the Pharisees, which means these are toxic to their spiritual development.
I wonder where there is so much hypocrisy in Christianity; it’s because men prefer the honor of men more than God; they depend on outward appearance to please God while their inner mind is full of abominations and detestable things that are separated from the presence of God.
Those who can’t clean up their mess use good works to cover up, and those who are spiritually weak cover themselves with pride and become egocentric.
Hypocrisy is a double life, and it’s common to religious circles, trying to pretend to be what they’re not before people but secretly perform things abominably and make them detestable in the sight of God, who is going to judge the secret of the hearts.
They think they will be judged by what men are saying about them; they believe in their false identity to justify themselves, not knowing that the Lord is weighing their minds and all motives behind their actions.
They washed themselves clean outside, but they’re full of dead men’s bones; hatred, envy, and jealousy are hidden within them, ready to oppose whoever is standing to expose their deception.
God hates religion with passion; it’s religion that nailed his only begotten son to the cross; inside of it, hide the most despicable of humanity who are afraid of the cross and hide behind human judgment to perpetrate evil against the same humanity they claimed to protect.
Hypocrisy is when you pretend to be what you are not; you go from church service to witchcraft meeting, human in the day, but ferocious beast in the dark, working against the progress of the kingdom when you’re standing on the pulpit to preach in favor of the kingdom you secretly opposed.
Many are in the cult and answer pastors or general overseers while they secretly pay obeisance to the devil in darkness.
Whatever you do in the closet shall be announced openly to the people outside, and you’ll get a reward for your secret activity that’ll expose where you belong; God can’t be mocked; it’s what you sow in secret you shall reap openly.
The devil doesn’t have good things to offer; he distributes afflictions, diseases, and poverty to whoever is his followers, whether secretly or openly; this is his mark of covenant and a sign of identification to those who serve him.
A man was blind when all people pitted him, but he later confessed that he gave up his eyes as his sign of the covenant with the devil as leverage for power.
Hypocrite lives a double-faced life, which can only be discerned by people with spiritual understanding.
A goat that wants to live the life of a lion will regret the day a real lion enters the scene; he won’t withstand the test meant for the lion and end up being disgraced.
They appear to men as sheep, but inwardly, they’re ravenous wolves; even Satan does manifest as an angel of light to deceive; they use this one to resemble their father, the devil.
I used to wonder why are these people deceiving themselves. They are deceived to deceive themselves to deceive others who respect them more than the truth.
The Bible tells us to beware of the leaven of the pharisee and Sadducees because it’s toxic and poisonous to the souls; it can damage our relationship with God and deaden our spiritual understanding.
They hide behind religious penance to deceive and destroy the lives of their ignorant followers.
That is why the Lord says, we should beware of it so that we won’t become their victims.
The Pharisees of our time are our so-called spiritual leaders and those who stand on the pulpit to deceive the soul to hell; they block man from God’s presence with their carnal ideology and doctrine that are not related to God’s Word.
Leaven is what makes flour rise and look attractive after baked, leaven is the hypocrisy and the pride of some leaders in the church which makes them pompous as if they’re above the law, no wonder Christ says, we shouldn’t call anyone father or master on earth, for their leaven make them take over the place of God in the life of their followers.
The Church of Christ is like a net thrown inside the sea to catch fish; after, the fisherman will select the good from the bad and burn the waste with unquenchable fire.
They arrogate power to themselves and become monitoring eyes that control Christian activities to regulate their spiritual progress, making them unfit to stand before their creator; they hide the keys of knowledge and chase whoever wants to live above their hypocrisy from the gathering of the saints.
Unless our righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the pharisee, we will be unfit to enter the kingdom of God; even if we are going to be chased out of the temple, we must strive to enter the kingdom and live above their error.
The scarcity of true Christians makes the activities of these hypocrites thrive; when one appears in view, they will persecute them to hide their identity and wickedness.
They’ll chase true Christians away from the church so they will not be exposed, or they benched them so they won’t speak against their hypocrisy.
The Bible says we should beware of their hypocrisy so we will not be infected with it and also become like them, for it’s highly contagious.
Guide your heart with diligence, for out of it comes the issue of life; this is what hierarchy does in the church of God, if care is not taken by the time we get there, we will also become like them.
This is why humility is essential; it will puncture the ego and destroy the habitation of pride in the life of Christ’s followers as we choose to remain as servants in his vineyard.
Prayer: Father Lord search my heart and expose the hidden place of darkness before it’s too late, cleanse me with your precious blood to be able to stand in your presence, in Jesus’ name amen
