Luke 15:7 “I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.”
Have you ever been celebrated?
Have you ever considered the joy that takes place in heaven when a sinner enters the Kingdom of God?
Heaven rejoices when a person is born again into the Kingdom of God, just as we rejoice when a newborn child is welcomed into an earthly family.
As the earth rejoiced over you when you were born into the world, let heaven also rejoice over you for being born again into the Kingdom of God. This is what brings fulfilment to you and your purpose on earth.
Without this, your mission on earth is incomplete. How then will you be truly celebrated by men?
Consider the story of the prodigal son, who collected his inheritance and journeyed to a distant country. Similarly, humanity has taken its inheritance and wandered far from the Father, spending it on things that ultimately destroy its destiny.
Yet, the father never gave up. He waited patiently for his son to return, hoping that one day he would come back and be reconciled to him.
It happened just as the father desired. The son began to suffer in a foreign land, longing to eat the food given to the pigs, but even that was denied him.
As a lost child of God, you cannot experience the true desires of your heart while living under the captivity of the devil. Satan will not give you what truly satisfies your soul. He will continually leave your soul hungry and thirsty.
The prodigal son came to his senses and remembered how abundantly the servants in his father’s house lived. He thought, “How much more should I, as a member of the family, be suffering in a foreign land?”
He summoned the courage to return to his father’s house. When his father saw him from a distance, he ran to meet him, kissed him, and embraced him.
Until a sinner comes to his senses, there is no way he will remember to return to where he came from and be reconciled to God.
This reflects God’s heart toward every sinner who comes to repentance.
Many people desire recognition and congratulations on earth, yet they have not considered whether their lives are acceptable before God.
You may be seeking earthly recognition while heaven has not yet acknowledged your life.
It is not the car, private jet, public jet, or estate you have acquired that determines your value in the Kingdom of God. Earthly possessions do not make a soul acceptable before God.
Unfortunately, this is what the carnal person often calls success. As a result, many die at the height of their earthly enjoyment without preparing their souls for the afterlife.
It is concerning that some people move from one programme to another and from one church to another, seeking to be celebrated and congratulated while neglecting the condition of their souls before God.
Your repentance is what concerns God. When a sinner repents, there is joy in heaven.
If you have not sought reconciliation with God, yet you are crying out to be celebrated and congratulated, you have overlooked what is most important.
If heaven is not rejoicing over your life, what earthly achievement can provide a lasting solution to your challenges?
Whatever your achievements on earth may be, if your life does not bring glory to God, everything becomes vanity upon vanity. All is vanity.
Whatever you achieve should advance God’s Kingdom and fulfil His purpose. If it becomes an obstacle to others experiencing God, then it has failed to fulfil its purpose.
What the world seeks is not what heaven seeks. God’s ways are different from our ways, and His thoughts are different from our thoughts.
The world seeks recognition for childbirth, weddings, and actions that impress others. But heaven rejoices when someone gives his or her life to Christ, whose name is written in the Lamb’s Book of Life, and whose faith in the only begotten Son of God demonstrates that the blood of Jesus was not shed in vain.
This is also what we must seek.
Let the desire of heaven become our strongest desire, and let the will of heaven become our will. Then our purpose will align with God’s purpose, and His way will become our way.
Then the shout of rejoicing will be heard in the tabernacles of the righteous, and the sound of joy will not depart from our lives.
Prayer: Father Lord, let the joy and celebration of heaven become my desires in Jesus’ name, amen.
