Colossians 1:13 «“ Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son”
Matthew 12:26
«“And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand?”»
Two kingdoms operate in this world, just as two trees stood in the Garden of Eden, influencing the lives of its inhabitants. The tree they chose determined their destiny.
Remaining in the garden and enjoying the goodness and fullness of God depended on that choice. Unfortunately, they were driven out because of the decision they made.
Before the advent of the Lord Jesus, Satan exercised dominion over humanity. He sat upon the Mount of the Congregation, directing the affairs of men.
The kingdom of God was established on earth by the Lord Jesus and sealed with His precious blood to bring an end to the reign of the devil and deliver humanity from his captivity.
From the days of John the Baptist, the kingdom of God has suffered violence, and the violent take it by force.
Whoever desires to enter the gate must come through the way, which is Jesus Christ, because He is both the gate and the key to entrance.
The kingdom of this world is under the jurisdiction of Satan. That is why he is called the prince of this world. Whoever does not believe in the atoning power of Jesus’ sacrifice belongs to the world and remains under the dominion of the wicked one.
Some people are unwilling to enter, yet they prevent others from doing so. Some are not far from the kingdom of God, but they refuse to enter.
The provisions of God’s kingdom come from above, far beyond the control of principalities and powers and beyond the authority of the rulers of the darkness of this world.
God releases provisions for all creation, but the powers governing those who do not belong to His kingdom intercept them, just as the prince of Persia hindered the answer to Daniel’s prayers before God intervened.
Many years ago, I had a dream in which the provisions for the entire world were released to us from heaven. We were all joyful and began rejoicing that they had arrived in time to meet our needs for the year.
To my surprise, however, while we were celebrating, someone suddenly appeared and began gathering everything that belonged to us.
I wondered who the person could be. Someone explained that it was a power from our family that siphoned away what belonged to individuals. Whenever we needed anything, she would release only a small portion of it to us.
I became very angry and protested that I would take what belonged to me. Someone among us said he would take me to a place where I could recover my possessions.
As I entered the small store, searching for where my goods were kept, the woman appeared and began pursuing me in an attempt to reclaim what I had recovered. I ran until I entered a place beyond her reach.
When I looked into my hands, I saw that I had recovered only a tin of beverage. I was deeply saddened until I awoke.
Afterward, God told me that heaven has released individual provisions from above at the beginning of every year, but powers that continue to rule over people prevent those provisions from reaching them. Instead, they use what was intended to be their portion as a means of control, preventing them from enjoying what has been given to them from above.
This is the condition of humanity, as the Bible confirms. A child who refuses to mature remains under governors and tutors until reaching adulthood, at which point his inheritance is released to him.
What, then, will be the condition of those who have yet to understand their rights because they have not given their lives to Christ to possess their inheritance?
They remain enslaved to the devil, without the rights of sons to their inheritance.
Slaves belong to the kingdom of this world and are subject to Satan, sin, and the world. Whatever provisions are given to them from above remain under the control of their master, who uses them according to his desires.
God desires to transfer us through Jesus Christ into His kingdom, where His Word and authority govern. It is God Himself who directs the lives of all who belong to His kingdom—not the president of your nation or the government of your territory.
Whatever is happening in the world should not control you, because you have been removed from its jurisdiction, and your life is now under the authority of another kingdom.
Your provisions may be intercepted by powers or forces, but no demon or angel can prevent the presence of God from bringing what you need for survival.
It is those who belong to the world who remain under the control of these wicked forces.
The world is turbulent, but the kingdom of God is peaceful under the Prince of Peace. You become vulnerable to what is happening in the world when you are distracted from God’s kingdom and begin to move outside its jurisdiction.
Remember Dinah, the only daughter of Jacob.
Had she remained within the jurisdiction of her father, Jacob, she would not have been defiled by the prince of that foreign land or lost her virginity.
There is a call for those who desire to belong to this kingdom. It is the call of the gospel of salvation: whoever believes in the only begotten Son of God should not perish but have everlasting life.
Only those who answer this call will be transferred from the darkness of this world into the kingdom of His dear Son, removed from the jurisdiction of the devil and brought under the authority of God.
There, provisions will be directed to them without an intermediary. Dominion will be removed from the control of governors and tutors and placed under the authority of Jesus Christ.
God established His kingdom to exercise dominion over the earth. He gives authority to those who belong to it to execute judgment over the dominion of the devil and to trample openly upon his works.
You cannot possess your inheritance while remaining under the dominion of the world. You must either bow to the prince of this world by accepting counterfeit benefits that advance his kingdom, or remain outside God’s will for your life and forfeit the purpose for which you came into this world.
Many children of butchers feed on bones. They stand beside wells of water and cry out in thirst. They remain near bakeries and still cry out in hunger.
This is because their eyes are closed to what belongs to their peace. The prince of this world has blinded them with lies so that they cannot see what would benefit them in the present or in the future.
Unless the message of the gospel enlightens them and opens their spiritual understanding, they will not recognize what will benefit their lives and their future.
You cannot belong to God’s kingdom while continuing to crave what lies outside it. You are either within the kingdom or outside it.
The principles of God’s kingdom are governed by His Word. When you disobey one of its commands, you disobey the authority of the King and place yourself under the judgment reserved for the children of disobedience.
Unfortunately, many believe they belong to God’s kingdom without realizing that they remain outside it. The benefits of the kingdom elude them because they are still under the influence of the prince of Persia, operating through their environment.
You may continue to be ruled by these two kingdoms if you have not fully surrendered under the blood of the Lamb; neither cold nor hot will be spewed out of his mouth.
A child of the kingdom who refuses or neglects to mature is no different from a servant. When you refuse to submit to the authority of Christ, you are no different from a servant.
If you die in that condition, you will not be counted worthy as a son. Only sons have the right to their inheritance in God.
Prayer: Father lord, give me the spirit of sonship for me to enter my Inheritance in God, in Jesus name, amen.
