Luke 10:19 (“Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy; and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”)
The place Satan is meant to occupy is under the feet of a believer. He is supposed to be trampled upon by a man who lives in Christ and in whom Christ lives.
A man who is in God is seated with Christ far above principalities and powers, and above every power that exists in heaven or on earth.
Jesus Christ is the Head, while we are His body. Wherever the Head is, the body will also be.
If you allow the devil to take over any place apart from remaining under your feet, you no longer have authority over him.
Whichever area of your body you allow the devil to take over will become an avenue through which he takes control of other areas.
If you give your mouth to carry evil information, you become a public relations officer in the kingdom of darkness.
When you give him your ears to listen to demonic jokes and evil music, you become an avenue through which his false teachings can spread to the entire world. Do not give Satan access to control your life.
Remember, if he takes one part, he is already gaining control over the others. Do not let Satan deceive you by saying, “It is only your hand I have taken; your leg is still in God’s hand,” or, “It is only your leg I am in charge of; all other areas are under the control of the Almighty.” Once you surrender one area to him, you have opened the door for him to invade the rest.
Remember that it was her hearing ears that Eve gave to the serpent, and he took over her thoughts and made her do what God had commanded them not to do.
If you lend Satan your eyes to watch immoral films, he will use that avenue to penetrate your heart and fill it with immoral thoughts. When you lend him your hands to slap others, he will enter your mind and plant malice within you.
No wonder Jesus said that if they slap you on one cheek, turn the other also. Do not give the devil any part of your body as an instrument through which he can establish control over you.
If they take away your coat, give them your cloak also. Do not withhold what you should give. Do not allow Satan to gain an avenue through his tactics and steal your freedom in Christ. Do not allow his schemes to turn you into a servant of sin.
Satan’s position is under the feet of all Christians, not in our hands, not in our legs, and not in our heads. He has no right to occupy any part of your life. If you do not put him where he belongs, he is ready to infiltrate other areas, establish his presence, and build his stronghold.
Any area the devil occupies is the area he uses against you before God. If Satan is not under your feet, where you have been given the power to trample upon him, then he is your master, even if it is only your eyes that you have surrendered to him through lustful desires.
Do not surrender any part of yourself to Satan, because whatever you place in his hands can become a weapon he uses to gain control over your life.
Prayer: Father lord, keep me under your pavilion; don’t allow satan to prevail over me, in Jesus’ name, amen.
