Luke 14:27 ( And whosoever doth not bear his cross and come after me, cannot be my disciple)

It’s better for someone who wants to start a project to count the cost and analyze the loss and the gain that’ll make you complete it, else the project will become frustrating and lost in the end.

Whoever desires to become Christ’s disciple should think of the loss if he can afford to continue despite the opinions of others.

The road is narrow and straight. Whoever is going through it shouldn’t have anything that will disqualify or obstruct him from pressing forward.

The next price to pay on this journey is “carry your cross” .

The cross is an instrument of death and the mark of identification for being with Christ.

The cross is willingly carried, not under duress; some dump their cross by the roadside and compromise with their enemy.

There was a lady we started this journey together many years ago, but unfortunately, she couldn’t move further but dumped her cross to follow the path of the world who is telling another story by now.

Your family members and friends who you can’t do without are part of the Cross; if there is anything you gain from them, you must let go and let God.

It might be painful at first but the presence of your shepherd is with you even in the valleys of the shadows of death.

If you like, you can’t still go back to them, but you would have missed the purpose of your calling.

Can you afford to dump the man paying your school fees because he is against your faith, can you forsaken a gathering where you can rise to fame because of the gospel?

This is the question you need to asked yourself if things are going tougher more than you expected.

That is the cross you must bear to be able to achieve the purpose for which you were created.

Cross are not things we hang on the neck because some hanged their metal cross and still visit prostitute hideouts, while some hanged their own and remained in occultic gatherings.

The cross is “If I die, I die, I will preach the gospel to the world.”

Some are in a forbidden country, not minding their life, and are bringing men out of the satanic dungeons; many died for the cause of the gospel; they have forsaken their lives on that cross, dedicated wholly on divine altar.

If you’re afraid of those who kill the flesh, you won’t have the fear of God in the heart.

The Cross is a mark of death; wherever a sign of the cross is placed, signifies late; any picture they put this sign on indicates a late person.

The cross is a sign of death to believers, a sign that you die to the world and its allurement, a sign of death to temptation and deception of the evil one.

You died in Christ to live a fulfilled life in God; it’s this death that qualifies you for eternal life.

You died to the flesh to become born again in the realm of the spirit so that you won’t experience the second death in the lake of fire.

The old man is buried at the Cross to receive the new life that death won’t have power over.

Christians who refuse this death will experience the second death; their life isn’t in God, but they still actively obey the devil and follow his ways.

There was a story I heard about forty men who were condemned to die for being Christians by freezing to death.

They placed them in the coldest region but told them that if they were ready to repent and renounce their relationship with Christ, there was a hot coffee and pepper soup there for them.

But these men remained unmoved by their requirement; they kept on marching in the cold to keep themselves warm.

They started falling down one by one to answer the call of death.

God opened the eyes of one of the watchers who monitored their movements, and he saw forty angels holding crowns in their hands, ready to put it on the head of any of them who died in the process.

Then the man saw one of them running towards where they put the coffee to warm himself; he couldn’t endure the suffering while it remained one crown in the hand of one angel.

The watcher quickly ran to meet the angel and said, please do not go; place it on my head, he reached there, fell down on the spot, and died.

Buy it’s unfortunate for the one who compromised at the latter end because God didn’t open his spiritual eyes to see what he missed, by now he would have understood but it’s too late.

Without the cross,, there won’t be a crown, and without death, there is no resurrection….to be continued
