Luke 16:31 ( And he said to him, if they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead)
There are souls whose names are written in the Book of Life since the foundation of the world, and there are souls that are bound for destruction despite the preaching they heard.
God lived among us in human form in the name of Jesus, showing miracles, signs, and wonders. Still, many didn’t believe; he knew those who believed and also the betrayer.
God sent prophets to the people of Israel but chose lies instead of God’s Word.
Most people still perished during the time of Elijah and Elisha; unfortunately, it’s after their deaths that men built monuments in their remembrance; what happens to them when they are with us?
Most of us who believe in dead prophets would never believe or harken to them if they were alive.
This is the manifestation of our wickedness; how many of the prophets of God and teachers he sent to make our path straight with him that we are persecuting and condemned while we honor whom our fathers killed?
The Pharisees in Israel built monuments for the prophets that their father killed; this shows that they had a hand in the death of the prophets as they decorated their sepulcher.
As the Word of God appeared in their midst as they persecuted and killed him.
Moses brought the law that was given by God on the mount, but before his arrival, they had already made two golden calves they wanted to worship.
This showed the depravity of the human mind, which always erred even when the Lord was active in their midst.
They chose their damnation in the wilderness, thereby incurring the wrath of God, and they all perished.
Prophets like Jeremiah and Isaiah were raised, but they still did not listen; instead, they persecuted them and silenced them with the judgment of death.
It’s only those whose names are written in the Lamb Book of Life that are chosen from the foundation of the world that will listen to the voice of their shepherd and arise from the graveyard of destiny.
The voice that is echoing from Calvary through prophets and pastors calls for repentance, but instead, they listen to the voice calling for their alignment with the world to make them rich and famous, which will, in turn, damn their souls in the end.
Deep called unto the deep within the souls, it’s only those who are marked by the blood of the Lamb that was shed from the foundation of the world that’ll listen to the voice of the resurrection and the life.
As they failed to listen to the voice of the spirit echoing from Calvary through Moses in the law and the prophets, neither will they listen if someone rose from the grave to warn them…
The rich man pleaded with Abraham to allow someone from the grave to warn his household, but the truth is that, since they’re not ready to follow the word of Moses and the voice of the prophet, neither will they listen even though someone is sent from the grave.
This is the irony of what befell this human race; if they had obeyed the voice of the prophets, they would definitely obey if one is sent from the grave, for the word of God quickens.
God brought the request of this rich man to fulfillment, but the result still remains the same as Father Abraham prophesied.
God sent multiple who experience hell, and it’s torture; they’ve gone through the fire of hell to warn all men of coming destruction if they fail to repent.
I told someone related to me about Abraham’s yakub of heaven and hell experience, but the reply I got is that all these are fabricated and that it’s not true.
Even Linda Paul Rika’s experience didn’t move them; they continued living in their reprobate mind, doing what was not convenient to the damnation of their souls.
Most of these people are in the church; they claim to be Christians but fail to abide by the law of God.
They worship the Lord chosen from their depraved imagination and choose whatever pleases them to obey in the Bible.
That was how it was in the time of Noah; he built the ark for 120 years, and people still made jest of him until the final day when the rain descended and the door of the ark closed. That’s when they realized that they had missed it all the while but it’s too late.
Jesus Christ was preaching in parable to the crowd, but when he entered the house with his disciples, he interpreted all to them.
Then his disciples asked him why he was speaking to the crowd in an unknown language, and he told them that even if he preached to them and taught them the truth, they wouldn’t listen, for their minds were set on destruction, they’re the seed of the serpent.
It’s only those who belong to God that will listen to the voice of wisdom, for deep will call to the deep in their souls.
It’s only the children of the kingdom that have listening ears and seeing eyes, but for these people, it wasn’t given.
That is why many from churches go to hell; they answer Christian names and bear Christian titles, but they still choose hell with their rebellious living.
Prayer: Father, give your children listening ears and seeing eyes so they won’t err from the Way, in Jesus’ name, amen.
