Genesis 3:1 (Now the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said into the woman, yes, hath God said, ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?)
The serpent never stopped his mission since the fall; he is still in the ministry of making human beings doubt the authenticity of the word of God.
His mission is to put a question mark on everything that the LORD says, to create doubt and a spirit of disobedience to make man rebel against divine commandments.
The Ministry of this ancient serpent keeps on thriving because we failed to acknowledge his activities among us; the spirit of it doesn’t matter keep on increasing sin with its consequences multiplied, to be extended from generation to generation of all who choose to disobey God.
Had God said this’ is what the devil is using as a ladder to infiltrate life the moment disobedience takes place.
Had God truly said we should pay tithes or had God said we shouldn’t drink alcohol or smoke?
Had God said we should be satisfied with whatever we have and not covet others’ properties?
Had God said’ has make us doubt the authenticity of His word and make him a liar, which in turn make man rebellious to divine ordinances.
God created heaven and the earth and put man inside the garden to till and expand, so also the kingdom of God was established for the people of God, representing the Eden of God on earth.
As the serpent entered the garden of Eden to deceive, so also he enters the kingdom of God to put doubt of the word into the heart of the saints.
God himself gave Satan permission as the tempter to search through the hearts of the saints if they truly kept him in their hearts and exposed their motives.
Whoever is doubtful of God’s word during the temptation period had never believed in him before.
Joseph was far away in a strange land where there was no father or mother nor any relatives.
But still kept the word of God in his heart that he won’t sin against him.
He said how can I do this and sin against God?
It’s keeping his word in our hearts that will prevent us from going against the word; this is the only way to overcome the sermon of the serpent and make us submit under the authority of the almighty.
A little disobedience can disqualify one from the race the moment you go against the word and follow the word from the serpent’s mouth; this is the moment God will start searching for a replacement; take King Saul as an example.
God won’t tolerate disrespect to his word; whoever despises the word disrespects His name.
Serpent ministry isn’t only to make a man go against the ordinances of God but to establish himself and perpetuate his way in man’s heart.
This is the origin of religion which Satan created as substitute to replace what the Lord has done on the Cross.
