WHEN GOD IS SILENT

1 Samuel 3:1 ( And the child Samuel ministered unto the LORD before Eli, and the word of God was precious in those days, there was no open vision)

There was always silence on the land whenever there was a change of dispensation.

When God wanted to activate the dispensation of the prophet, there was silence and the voice of God was precious in those days before he brought Samuel into the open.

Also, through the transition from the prophet to the time of grace, there was silence for 400 years, from the book of Malaki to the book of Matthew, before the birth of the Savior was announced.

When it seems that God is silent on your case, it might be that he has already abandoned you to yourself after many pleas and calls for reconciliation.

He had warned many times in the dream and in the physical world, that he might have sent friends and enemies to warn you, which you despised and rejected.

Before King Saul forsake God, he was warned through the prophet Samuel which he neglected for protecting his ego.

God departed from him even though he was still honoured as king, till he later consulted a necromancer and received the judgment of damnation.

If God has forsaken you, nothing on earth or in heaven will work to your favour.

I wonder how some prophets of Baal will start prophesying peace to the enemy of God, it’s only a fake prophet that will do that.

If heaven is angry with you, no atonement or sacrifice will speak in your favour.

God was angry with King Ahab for obeying his wife to do evil, and he called all the prophets in his dominion to prophesy in his favour.

But King Jehosaphat who recognized the voice of the living God wouldn’t agree with the voice of his prophets, he demanded the real prophet.

No real or true prophets will say things that are against the will of God, they won’t say there is peace when trouble is lurking everywhere as a result of disobedience to the word of God.

Most false prophets of this day are looking for whom they will prophesy peace in exchange for money or materials, they are parading the offices of politicians, the king’s Palace who abandoned God to seek refuge in Satan.

They won’t give the real word of repentance for they know that they won’t listen, what is the business of the prophets in prophesying to celebrities that it’s well?

Just to have access to their pockets, no wonder men no longer respect the pulpit again for they know that it’s their stomach they work for.

If God is silent concerning your case that doesn’t mean you won’t prosper but your case is already closed before him, he places you on slippery ground waiting for you to fall into the pit by yourself.

The voice of the LORD wasn’t heard in those days, for there was no vessel to use, for all men are corrupt in his sight, until he brought Samuel through Hannah in prayers.

God was silent because the children of Israel had forsaken the law they had gone after their depraved minds, even though he spoke they were not ready to listen.

If God has been warning you before and you turned a deaf ear, expect his wrath, some will say, Why can’t she hear God’s rebuke when she was bleaching? It only means that he has consented to it.

No! It’s because He has already done with you but when cancer knocks on your door be ready to accommodate it.

Or why can’t he speak to me when I was about to commit that abortion? Maybe he speaks and it’s you who refuse to listen to the voice of wisdom and when your womb is damaged, and you call on him he won’t answer you.

It’s because you first neglected his voice that he closed his mouth from saying things that you will despise later and make a mockery of his love.

Many souls are deadened to God’s voice, they no longer respond to spiritual stimulus, how will the voice of resurrection and life bring them out among the dead?

He says in the book of Proverbs that, “because I have called, and ye refused, and no man regarded, but ye have set at nought all my counsel and would none of my reproves, I also will laugh at your calamity, I will mock when your fear comes “

God was silent in the case of King Saul for he silenced the seers in the city by killing them.

It’s not good for God to give up on someone, even Satan won’t rise for your help, no wonder the Bible says, it’s a terrible thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

If the world is angry with you, and men rise against you, you can call on God to advocate for you, but if God rises against you, nothing in heaven or on earth can plead your case.

Sometimes, God may be silent because he has answered your prayers, He’s just waiting for when your miracle will appear that will silence your enemies perpetually.

God is working in the background to bring his promises to pass, you only need to trust Him.

It may seem as if God is not answering, just like Job, but he is waiting for the appointed time to put your enemy to shame.

On the day of Christ’s death before his resurrection, the host of hell were in jubilation for they thought they had won, they held a party in the atmosphere to show they had overcome.

God was silent when Christ was hanging on the Cross to the extent that Christ shouted in agony that “My God, my God, why art thou forsaken me?

Not knowing that it’s through his death that he overcame the power of death for humanity, he went to hell to collect the key to the gate of hell and death and released all the prisoners that had been taken captive since the time of Adam to the man who died with him on the Cross.

He made a public show of the principalities and powers and spoiled them openly.

Through his death, Satan was doomed forever and lost his authority over humanity.

The silence of God concerning your situation shouldn’t be taken with levity, you must know the side you are with God, if it’s not for mercy it might be for judgment.
