Luke 16:17 ( And when he came to himself, he said, how many hired servants of my father have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger!)

All sinners are in a state of spiritual lethargy, not knowing who they are or where they’re coming from, nor where they are going. Neither do they know their identity; they’re all in a position where they are deadened to their real self, not alive to who they were created to be.

The prodigal son is an example of a sinner in a strange land, he left his father’s compound with his inheritance, went to a strange land thinking he would have pleasure but not knowing that he was trading his inheritance for a pleasure that wouldn’t last, and turn him to someone lusting after pigs’ food.

A man of dignity, who was living in luxury in his father’s compound, but desired to live for himself without his father’s watch, instead of finding the pleasure he desired, he found poverty instead after he had lost everything to riotous living.

Then he came to himself, sin is a spiritual state of living a carnal life without awareness of its consequences.

A corpse can’t experience stimulation, it can’t experience pain, if a bag of cement or sand is placed on a corpse it won’t feel it.

A sinner can’t feel the pain of sin unless he came to himself, if a prostitute slept with thousands of men in a day she won’t feel the effect on her spiritual body for her spirit man is in state of death, her conscience is dead to the aftermath of her actions, all what she does is live in pleasure when the Bible says, whoever live for pleasure is dead while living.

No one is born again from his mother’s womb, we are all sinners before the mercy of God found us out to quicken our spiritual man to realize what we have done so far and what Christ has done to make us escape the eternal consequences of our actions.

Those who died in sin are yet to discover what they are doing, they are yet to come to themselves and know that what they did is wrong before death catches them and their eyes open in hell.

The day an insane man comes to himself is the day his madness will leave, sin is a position of spiritual madness, our mind must be reoriented by the word of God to be enlightened and bring us out before we can be relocated to where we are supposed to be in life.

The day a person who is bleaching will come to herself and discover that the bleaching creams that he thinks will bring beauty are damaging her body is the day she will be free from self-damage. How can you use acid to damage yourself or place hot coals of fire on your skin to harm yourself if you’re normal?

Or how can you continue to damage your liver and kidneys with hard drugs and alcohol to satisfy your lustful desire if you are sane?

Those who patronize prostitute know the implications but they can’t just stop because they have lost themselves to the vanity of life, until they come to their senses, they will know the danger they put themselves in.

There are some things we did when the light of God had yet to penetrate our lives and bring us out of what we inflicted on ourselves, when the prodigal son was wasting his inheritance on prostitutes and riotous living, he never thought he will still come to want and covet the food meant for pigs.

As we begin to think of what sin has done to us and its repercussions, we would want to beat ourselves, if not for the blood of Jesus that wipes away the guilt, we wouldn’t have come out of that traumatic experience that sin has inflicted on us.

Those who commit abortion when they think they are enjoying life would have discovered the foolishness they put themselves into.

Had they known the consequences then, or had they had their eyes open to see the reality of their actions, they would have stopped doing whatever would put their future in irreversible jeopardy.

Can a sane person sacrifice her children to a coven that doesn’t add anything to his life, only destruction?

Or will a normal human being do things that will make him ashamed of himself when caught?

Satan, the originator of sin has his head bruised and suffered brain damage at his fall, making his wisdom corrupted and he can’t think right.

That is how those who follow him in rebellion become before God and man who live a holy life.

Sinners need to come to themselves before their deliverance can be perfected, if a madman sees someone with clothes he will call him mad, so also a sinner who sees someone living a holy life will term such as abnormal, who is mad between a man who goes about naked or a man who puts on clothes to cover his nakedness?

Or who is abnormal between a sinner and a righteous man, a sinner shouldn’t dictate a Christian’s dress.

How can an insane person choose clothes for a sane man or tell him how to dress to impress others?

Until a sinner comes to his senses everything about him is abnormal and he can’t dictate to others, unless he wants to produce after his likeness.

All sinners that come to their senses wept for their sins, how they have lived in deception all these while, how they failed themselves and also failed God.

This is what is called repentance and change of ways, diverting from the broad way to the narrow way to correct their life anomalies.

When the prodigal son came to himself, he knew that he had disappointed his father and needed to go back and make corrections.

It is when the light of God shines on you that you will realize that you have been in darkness all this while and you must come out of it by fire and by thunder.

The only person who can bring you to yourself without damaging your dignity is the Lord Jesus Christ, bringing you to your senses it to bring out the real you and stop you from living a counterfeit life for all sinners are not really living for the purpose they are created, their life is on a fake side.

Prayer: Father Lord bring all your children to themselves and know that they are not in the right condition and come under your mercy and grace, in Jesus’ name amen.
