Religion is full of burden and the carryover of Egypt; that is why Jesus says we should dump all at the cross and take his own yoke upon us to be well with our souls.

This kind of thing is what slows the progress of a believer in the things of God, only if he’s being directed by the Holy Spirit and shall be led to the fountain of living water for him to find comfort for the soul.

God doesn’t want us to be burdened with things that will endanger us, it’s just to deny self, bear our cross, and follow him, if it’s only these things you do, it suffices, adding things that he doesn’t command is a load that will become a burden to your spiritual advancement.

Some churches introduced some things to have communion with God that don’t relate to the Word of God.

This is part of human tradition.

They introduced candles and incense; they added angels’ names for their prayer to be effective.

This distraction will lead to a Broadway and make someone lose focus on heaven.

Satan won’t be angry with you for serving God; what he needs is to divert your faith to things aside from the Word of God.

He is using this method to discourage you from serving the true God and introduce what is not God on your way for distraction.

He knows that God doesn’t want rivals; if he sees anything in you competing with him, you’ll be disqualified from the race.

This is the leaven that makes addition to the worship of the almighty; no wonder God demands sacrifice without a leaven in the Old Testament.

It has become a church tradition to honor Easter celebrations; they even mourn for forty days to honor the death of Christ.

Devil with subtilty introduced what God condemned in Israel to the church when he had already condemned the children of Israel for weeping for Tamuz in the temple, thereby moving his glory out of the temple.

This is what Satan brought over to the church to push God out of our midst.

What God hates in Genesis is also what he hates till revelation, and also continue hating it in our time till the world passes away; he is the ancient of days that will never change.

Whatever God hates and is introduced to the church has turned to idolatry and sacrilege if it’s honored by the church.

This will disqualify them from seeing the face of God; God doesn’t want addition, and that is why if you want to know him, you must come through his son, for Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life.

The word of God is the owner’s manual given to the children of God to navigate the world; the Bible is the written word that we must follow to be prosperous and succeed in whatever we are called to do.

Whoever adopted another way aside from this word has rebelled against God and will have to answer to it on the day of judgment.

Tradition and culture of men are like adding to his word, which he forbids for whoever desires to follow him; anything aside is after the rudiment of this world which won’t please the one that sent us.

Some churches are stagnated in the teaching of their leaders, if you’re trying to penetrate to open their spiritual understanding to the new teachings of the Word, for the light of God is illuminating us daily in the Word to bring us closer to God.

They’ll ask, has it been taught by our leaders before? If not, there is no room for development; these are the ones who don’t desire growth to reach the level of Christ’s stature; they prefer to remain at the level of their leaders, thereby remaining mediocre for life.

What they don’t know is that their leaders stopped growing the day they entered glory; the followers must continue from where they stopped to reach the level God desire for his children.

Some leaders that are still living are changing some messages they preached before, what of those who abide by it and died in this error?

Our leaders are human beings, it’s not their stature God is taking us, it’s the level of Christ, this level is infinite, no one knows it all, it’s all hidden in the word of God, by searching it daily our understanding growth as we develop our spirit man that will excel above the place our leaders stopped as we continue there.

No one is omniscient; it’s only Christ who fills that position, and it’s his stature we desire to attain in our walk with God, not of man.
