Luke 14:28,29 ( for which of you, intending to build a tower, sit not down first, and count the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it? Lest haply, after he hath laid down the foundation and he is not able to finish, all that behold it begin to mock him)

In every project and every journey of life, there is a calculations one need to make to ensure the completion of the task and the success of the journey.

We must not start and stop in the middle, this will become mediocrity that men will see and make a mockery of it.

There must be actual calculations of what you must give up and what you gain, before starting the procedure of possessing the kingdom.

Jesus told his disciples that they should count the cost to make sure they won’t be found wanting in the end

You need to ask yourself how much will I gain that’ll make up for my soul if I should forsake the world to pursue the kingdom?

You must know that there is nothing to gain in the world for losing your soul to its pleasures.

Most make irrational decisions when they’re making commitments to God, they are not aware of the demands that will be laid on them if they choose to follow him.

Some Christians don’t calculate self-denial in their spiritual mathematics and the cross that they need to bear to be able to focus.

The Bible says, Strive to enter, the journey is not what we thought it to be, it’ll require losing our life, our family and loved ones, even ourselves, by denying the flesh, what it desires most, or end up dying for the sake of the gospel.

Have you counted the cost of what you’ll lose if you’re rejected for confessing Christ as LORD?

Have you thought of the mockery of your friends for choosing a way that’s unpopular in the world?

Even if you lose your job and income in the process, will you be able to abide and stay with Christ in whichever circumstances?

Have you decided to follow Jesus and turn your back on the world and sin even when your family members are against your decision?

What many people don’t know is that their decision has to do with their eternity and will deny them of many things which can only be obtained at the feet of the Lord.

Peter asked the Lord, What is our gain for we have forsaken all things to follow you?

Then Jesus answered and said to him, that you will gain a fold in this world and also in the world to come, but it requires first to forsake and not expect things in return.

As the three Hebrews said, even if the Lord won’t deliver us, we still won’t bow down to your idol.

Are you ready to lose everything in the process, even if you don’t gain it back in this life? This is great gambling for the souls, but it’s good to gamble with your soul at the feet of the Lord and gain it back than to gamble with it in the hands of the devil for the pleasure of the world that’ll make you lose all in the end.

For the promises of God never failed concerning his Word as we decide to live by it every day of our lives.

Will you be able to say like Esther that if I die I die, even though I may be killed for working against the King’s command?

Or will you say as Daniel that I will not eat the King’s food sacrificed to an idol even if I die of hunger?

These are the tips of what you’ll lose to regain your soul in the end, If it’s necessary for the gain of the soul, you must try to make it work after you have counted the cost and know what to lose and what to gain.

Instead of the church counting the cost, they change the Bible to fit the standard of their faith, they set up another Jesus with a different gospel in their mind which they could follow, and abandoned Christ with high standards.

Why is the church approving gay and lesbian marriage to suit their fabricated gospel that wasn’t approved by God?

It’s because they can’t live by divine standards that were approved by God in His Word, therefore they made up their own that will suit their depraved mind.

We need to know if we can fit his standard before we embark on the journey, not bring another plan different from what he made, and tamper with the ancient mark.

There are so many arguments in the church on which to obey or not to in the gospel of Christ because of those who don’t want to count their cost before following, so they set up their standard that contradicts the one set up in God’s Word.

The world mocks the backsliders and welcomes them back into their circle as a result of failure in their mission….to be continued
