Luke 9:23 ( and he said to them all, if any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily and follow me)

This is the message of Jesus Christ to his people in this end time.

God manifested to Noah and told him to build an ark, those who never abide by this law to enter the ark become cast away and died in the flood.

He manifested himself to Abraham in the name of the God Almighty, Jehovah, and Abraham followed as he journeyed through life with all his children.

He reveals himself to Moses as the God of Abraham and Isaac and the God of Jacob, which becomes his memorial from generation to generation.

He came this time around with the new testament of the covenant his blood and told the children of men to follow him as the Lord Jesus Christ.

No other clarity can be found in this message that Jesus Christ introduced himself as the God of Abraham and Isaac and God of Jacob, as he introduced himself to the people of old, so he is introducing himself as the real God to us.

It’s only those who follow Christ who won’t miss the road.

People miss the way in the darkness of the world, lost in the wilderness of life, with no light that’ll see them through, but Christ appears as light that manifests in darkness to guide men through.

Most are just going through the path of their parents and get lost like them in the pit, while some are following the path of their religious leaders when they don’t know where he is heading and also get lost as their leaders.

Who are we to follow when everyone is introducing themselves as the way and the saviour but their path never leads to a desired destination.

Each journey had a different destination, will the journey you’re taking lead you to what your soul is longing for?

As our first parents got lost by following Satan rather than God, they lost their path in Eden and couldn’t relocate to the presence of God, so they hid behind the tree of the garden, where God found them and chased them out to prepare for their redemption.

As God was calling on Adam so also calling to the lost to find their way in Christ, for he is the Way that leads to his presence, as our first parents missed it he doesn’t want us also to miss it.

Religion told us to seek God in our own way, but Christianity brings God down to our level to find us in our lost state to elevate us to his stature, and bring us back to his presence.

There are different ways with different destinations, all apart from Christ lead to destruction.

That is why Jesus says, many will come in his name saying he is Christ but to deceive many to destruction.

After introducing Christ to them, they will take them to a different path that’s not of Christ.

When you look at the fruits of some people’s lives you’ll see the path they follow that’s reflected in them, you will know that they didn’t follow the real path and the consequences are manifesting in their life.

When you’re trying to correct them to put them on the right path, they’ll argue that they have been on the path of their forefathers in faith and that’s where they’ll remain.

Some are arguing to remain in the way of their leaders who didn’t follow Christ, and they’ll remain at the level of those leaders till death do them part.

Paul says, follow me as I follow Christ, What Paul was saying is that the moment you see seeing different spirit different from the spirit of Christ manifesting in him, you should shift ground and stop following him.

Most leaders have introduced to their followers different things aside from the cross of Christ, and the ignorant keep following sheepishly when they are heading to destruction.

Unfortunately many see another fruit in their leaders which doesn’t manifest in Christ and they still try to put their head into that deception.

The end result of your life will surely show the person you follow, When a famous religious leader was about to die, he said, Follow the son of Mariam, he knows the way.

But unfortunately many refused to do as he said, they followed their own intuition and ended up in destruction.

There are potholes and pits dug by the enemy, there are traps set for the Pilgrims on the way, it’s only those who follow Christ that will miss all these to reach their destination.

You place your feet where Christ put his own, you walk according to his ordinances, and ask yourself, will I laugh at this kind of joke if Jesus is sitting beside me?

Will I take this money even if no one notices but Christ is sitting by my side?

Will I fall for this man or woman in doing fornication even if Jesus is standing beside me?

When you follow Christ, you won’t do what he will not approve, even though his presence might not be visible but he is living in your spirit to direct your conscience.

If your leaders say otherwise, you will shift your focus to Christ even if the world is against your opinion.

Whoever follows Christ doesn’t stand alone even if nobody agrees with him in the physical, the host of heaven are standing at attention cheering him up and the cloud of witnesses are there encouraging him in the journey.

Most Christians have decided to take shortcuts and avoid the way of the cross, they find themselves in a confusing place that’ll cut their journey short when the Lord has already departed from them.

All the paths lead to somewhere but it’s the way of Christ that leads to the presence of God and to the fulfillment of destiny.

Those who refuse to follow the path of the cross have lived a wasted life and were recorded as remaining with the dead, even though they’re still living.

Prayer: Father let your spirit guide me in this journey, don’t let me be distracted from the way, in Jesus’ name amen
