MADNESS OF THE PROPHET 2

Luke 12:15
“And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man’s life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.”

The day a man of God removes the spirit of greed attached to his calling is the day he wins a battle over the powers of the flesh: greed for position and power, greed for material and monetary influence, and greed for always remaining at the top.

This is the kind of greed that influences the calling of a man called by God and makes him turn into the image of the devil in his physical manifestation.

Greed is the mother of many sins, and this is what most Christians do not take cognizance of. They allow it to ruin their ministries and their relationship with God.

A man of God who curses anyone who leaves his church has yet to understand repentance. Jesus Christ did not curse the apostles who left because they could not bear His teaching. He prayed for those who did not acknowledge His value when He was dying.

Greed is at the root of many sins. No wonder the Bible declares that godliness with contentment is great gain. Your spirituality cannot be complete if you are greedy.

With greed, you are short of being godly, and it will deny you the image of God that you need to aspire to and become.

A woman came to me for prayer against her enemies. She wished her enemies dead so that she could enjoy her husband. I told her that I am not into that kind of ministry. God called me to bring men to Him in repentance, not to kill men.

If a man called by God can overcome the spirit of greed, he can overcome the devil itself, for greed is what the devil used against our first parents that caused them to fall.

Unfortunately, greed and many men of God are inseparable. They maintain their ministries by fabricating lies and protecting their greed.

If you take greed out of their ministries, they become nothing other than what they are called to be, and they do not want that. They want to be more than what God called them to be. And how can they attain it without additional greed and covetousness?

Greed is what makes men of God seek more than the titles given to them in the Bible and add “Reverend” to them. Greed makes them add even more than Reverend, such as “Most Reverend,” “Ultimate Reverend,” or “Senior Apostle,” as if such titles are the ticket to the presence of the living God.

They are using these titles to lord it over the heritage of the living God, without fear of the repercussions involved.

All these are manifestations of the spirit of Balaam in this end time, which qualify them to be among the mad prophets of our time.

There is no way you can be greedy without the spirit of pride and arrogance overwhelming you, because pride and arrogance are among its fruits.

Greed is the driving force behind many ministers’ callings, and it is the spirit of covetousness that controls their ministries and turns them into houses built on sand, which will not stand the test of time. And if the foundation is destroyed, what can the righteous do?

Greed is the essence of the prosperity gospel; it ignites the spirit of covetousness in the hearts of the hearers, which makes them abandon the purpose of God to run after their carnal desires.

Greed is a subtraction, not an addition, to your spirituality. It is the fruit of the fallen nature, and whoever has it won’t have his name written in the book of life, because it is the seed of the serpent.

That is what entered the devil in heaven, which led to pride and arrogance, coveting the throne of his Creator. He gathered one-third of the angels together with him to usurp the throne before they were cast out.

Whoever among the prophets of God displays this character is counted among the madmen, who operate with a depraved mind to usurp authority from their Creator.

Prayer: Father lord, take me to Calvary and end my old life at the feet of the cross; give me a new beginning in you, in Jesus mighty name, amen.
