WHAT IS WICKEDNESS?
John 3:36 ( He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him)
The way men define wickedness is not the way Bible define it, most people don’t know the meanings of wickedness, they just assume that if you do bad to your neighbours, you’re wicked, or you plan evil against your fellow men, you’re wicked, even thieves and robbers who took forcefully from others are wicked, what of kidnappers and ritualist, they belong to the top in wickedness.
We called people raping children and kidnap them for sex slavery wicked souls, because we think they’re the ones who commit inhumane things against humanity.
This is all wickedness but it draws its strength from one thing, that is, anyone who refuses to believe in the Son of God is wicked and operates under the wrath of God.
This is the fate of all the wicked people of the earth, as they refused to believe in the only begotten Son of God, they are counted as wicked who are under the manipulation of Satan to put their lives under his control.
The Bible says, God is angry with the wicked every day, no matter how nice you are if you don’t believe in the only begotten Son of God you are wicked and constantly live under the wrath of God.
No matter the good deeds you do to the masses and even sacrifice your life for others if you don’t believe in the Son of God, you are one of the wicked people of the earth.
No wonder Jesus sent apostle Peter to Cornelius, a devout man who feared God, to go and introduce Christ to him so that his offering and rituals wouldn’t be in vain.
Had he failed to accept the only way of salvation he would have counted among the wicked men who ever lived.
The thief who was at the side of Jesus on the cross didn’t need any good works to be justified, he just acknowledged the Lord as the Son of God, and his wicked status turned to righteousness, his sin was removed by the atonement of the blood and he became the first person to enter paradise after Jesus crucifixion.
He doesn’t need to be baptised or recite dogma before he enters heaven, his faith is in believing in the only begotten Son of God.
Many rich and influential people of the world hide behind their philanthropic deeds to win the favour of men, while their intent is shrouded in evil.
That is why it’s difficult to see a rich man that confess Jesus Christ genuinely, they all have their evil motives hidden behind their good works.
Some hide behind religious rituals to deceive man, they killed a goat and a ram for sacrifice, substitute it with the blood of Christ, no matter how good the deeds they think they perform, they are wicked before God, for failing to put their faith in what Christ did but relying on their good works to receive God’s favour.
They are no better than white sephulcre which their innermost is full of dead men’s bones, this is what they represent but displayed another image outside for men to see.
God will categorise a thief who stole ten naira with the one who syphons millions from the government treasury, a man who hates his neighbours is the same as the man who murders his neighbours with a gun or a knife, they’re all wicked before God.
Man that looked at a woman lustfully will receive the same judgment of hell as the man who sleeps with a prostitute in society.
All these men are classified as wicked before God, because if they acknowledged Jesus Christ as the Son of God, they wouldn’t have relegated themselves to such a level of decadence.
No matter how you claim to be righteous, you will do what most wretched sinners do without God, because as you reject the Lordship of Christ, you become an instrument in the hand of the devil.
The heart that is not filled with God’s presence will be possessed by demons who will refashion his life to do Satan’s will.
Someone who is not under the control of the Holy Spirit will be under the manipulation of the devil, no wonder you’ll see a man who commits a grievous offence, and people will look and say, ” This man was not like this before he was just a gentle man who went about without hurting anyone.
It’s all because he refused to permit Jesus to control his life, which is why he fell into the hands of Satan to be used as his instrument of destruction.
It was when Adam refused to taste the tree of life that Satan was able to tempt him to have a taste of forbidden fruits, they end up not only being wicked to themselves but to the entire generations of human race: had they first tasted the tree of life, they wouldn’t have had the urge to have conversation with the serpent, not to talk of fallen into his temptation, they would have truly been lifted above all forces of hell and start walking in the glorious liberty of the Son of God, which Satan dread most.
The rebellious souls are wicked, they think they believe in Jesus as the son of God but never aspire to walk in his way, there are many who will profess him as the son of the living God but they are doing it for wickedness sake, they want to drag others with their confessions to the way of the devil.
Had they truly believed in Jesus Christ, they would have followed his commandments to do all that he says we should do.
It’s believed that imputed in man the righteousness of God, Abraham believed in God and was imputed to him as righteousness, your faith is built on this righteousness, not your good works.
