Matthew 6:14,15 ( For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly father will also forgive you. But if ye forgive not men their trespasses neither will your Father forgive your trespasses)

The Bible says, ” Blessed are those whose sins are forgiven and whose iniquity is pardoned, have you ever pondered if your sins have been forgiven or if you’re still on probation?

Mercy and compassion activate forgiveness, if you can’t be merciful to others how do you expect God to be merciful to you?

It’s when some people get to the gate of heaven they will discover that they have been living a fake Christian life all this time, and their sins are written with a pen of iron always come to remembrance in the presence of the living God, and are calling for vengeance.

Some people will discover that their life is on probation, maybe they will repent genuinely or not but never make any decisions to repent till they die, while some are holding grudges because of little offence against them, I call it little because what you did to God is more than that, and he still forgives you.

Many souls are living with grudges thinking that when they get to heaven, they’ll tender their case before God to settle the matter, and die with many souls caged in their hearts, how will such Christians expect to be forgiven by God?

God answers the prayers of forgiven souls, and many prayers are not answered because they are still awaiting forgiveness from God.

There is a stage you’ll reach in God that the consequences of your sin shall be rolled away and your sin be forgotten permanently, a sin that God forgives doesn’t come to remembrance before him anymore.

Jesus asked the Pharisees, “Which is easier to say that your sin is forgiven or to say, ‘ Arise and walk?

Jesus might have healed you but your sin might still be calling for vengeance in his presence.

There are sin that comes to remembrance before God because they have never repented of them, they just covered it and the odour is oozing out, calling for vengeance against them and blocking their access to God.

That shame or arrogance that wouldn’t allow you to repent of your sin will not be there when the judgment falls.

It’s better to put it aside and go on your knees before him and set your pride aside to forgive those who offended you to obtain mercy from God.

God says, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy and be compassionate on whom I will have compassion, click onto that promise and do what God is demanding to be among those who benefited from his mercy.

The Bible says, ” Whoever covers his sin shall not prosper, if you cover your sin and pretend that nothing happens. How do you expect prosperity from the throne of grace?

Some young ladies and young men are still masturbating and committing fornication, sleeping with those they are not married to, and still appear in God’s presence to pray and sing praises, did they think that God is like them?

Some hold grudges against others in the church, they fight for posts and strive for position on the pulpit, but still come to ask things from God.

The Bible says, if you have things against your brother, before you bring your offering to the altar, you must first reconcile with him and settle your matter. If God will not accept your offering on that condition, how do you expect him to answer your prayers with such a condition?

The act that destroys the pain of offence and forgets what someone has done is praying for those who persecuted you and love those who hate you, the moment you activate compassion for your so-called enemies is the moment mercy speaks for you before the throne of God.

Forgiveness is necessary to move on in our spiritual life, if you captured a person with your mind, you’re bound to stay in a spot with the person, what if the others has received forgiveness from God, your grudges can not hold him bound; it’s you who will nurse an offence that has been wiped and will permit Satan to hold you on ransom.

Anger and abusive language carry heavy penalties, how much more malice and grudges, Jesus says, ” Whoever is angry with his brother is a murderer so he shall be in danger of judgment, and whoever uses foul language on someone will be in danger of the council, and whoever shall call his brother an idiot or fool is in danger of hell.

How many times has this language been used by believers and we say it doesn’t matter, no wonder the candidates of heaven will be so few on the last day, because none of his law will go unfulfilled.

No one is living without fault, that is why we must seek forgiveness daily and remove the faults of others from our lives so that God will forgive us the way we forgive others.

The road to heaven is narrow you can’t enter with a baggage of others’ iniquity hanging on your neck, it’s better to dump it at the feet of the cross so it won’t hinder you from getting to the presence of God.

Prayer: Father lord give me the grace to forgive those who offend me, so that I will move forward in my spiritual journey to your presence in Jesus name amen.
