Matthew 22:21 ( They said unto him, Caesar, then he said unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar what belongs to Caesar and unto God the things that are God’s)
Christians are incorporated into the society that they don’t know how to differentiate what belongs to God and what belongs to Caesar.
Caesar represents the government of this day which collects tribute from society in the name of taxes.
Failure to tender what belongs to Caesar to him will incur the wrath of the government, and failure to give to God what belongs to God to him will incur the wrath of God.
Jesus Christ paid taxes to the society he belonged to. Why should Christians do otherwise and make unbelievers speak against the name of God?
When they came to tempt Jesus Christ they brought a coin that had the inscription of Caesar on it, and Jesus told them to render to Caesar what belongs to Caesar, and to give what has the seal of God to God, you know what belongs to God, part of it is the whole human being whom we are and who carries his image.
This settles it, with no controversy for those who are spiritually sensitive and spiritually minded.
Most people has misinterpret this passage to pay obeisance to the devil where need be, but these kinds of people do things to incur God’s wrath and evade taxes where it’s necessary, they cut the money that belongs to the government and bribe to keep it safe.
They also refuse to give God what belongs to him, they avoid paying tithes and use the dispensation of grace to cover up, they take the glory that belongs to God and take vengeance against their enemies when the Bible says, vengeance is the Lord’s.
The body that they are supposed to surrender to God as a living sacrifice has been taken over by demons, when they have already adorned it with the properties of Jezebel.
They do whatever with the temple of God saying it doesn’t matter. By the time God visit with judgment, they will query his existence.
What belongs to God is what is difficult to surrender to him, if we fail to abide in God’s will how do we expect to see his face shine upon us?
If we failed to give God what belongs to him how do we expect him to give to us what belongs to us?
All that life is about is spiritual transactions, and this is going on in the realm of the spirit without us knowing it, it’s either you transact with God or you transact with the devil and give your soul as interest, but it’s only on God’s side that produces gain which is eternal.
But the devil’s transaction is to give you things in exchange for your soul, you can weigh it and see which side is profitable.
When you trade your soul to the devil you incur eternal debt that you won’t be able to pay and lose to him instead.
Nothing is free in this world, only salvation acquired freely because someone paid on our behalf and he is expecting us to reciprocate by giving him our life.
Some problems don’t need deliverance to go, it repentance that your soul is needed to get what desires from God, its the key to enter into your inheritance in God, when you gave God what belong to him, which is your heart, you will see things falling into pleasant places, no matter the deliverance you perform on yourself, if you dont place God where he belong, you will fall short of what you’re created to be.
If you give your life to God he will give you his own life which is eternal, if you surrender your body to him on his altar, he will turn it to his dwelling place and if you give him your heart, he will fill it with his presence.
When you now give him yourself he will use you for his glory, when you give your tithes, he will rebuke devourer cankerworm and caterpillar for your sake and will open the window of heaven for your sake.
When you withdraw your children from God’s guidance how do you expect him to keep them safe?
Peter said, “We have forsaken all and follow you” but that means they have abandoned everything at his feet and let him do whatever he wants for his purpose.
We shouldn’t act like a little child who gave his toys for his father to repair, but still struggling with the father on where to touch or repair, or like a patient on a hospital bed telling the doctors where to cut.
But unfortunately, that is what most of us do, we give our life to God but still tell him how to run it, if it didn’t go our way we started grumbling, how then do we expect him to bring what concerns us to perfection?
The day God told Abraham to sacrifice Isaac was the day he died in Abraham’s eyes, God proved to him that Isaac belonged only to him, even if Abraham was his earthly father.
God knows your Isaac that you won’t let go under whichever circumstances, it might be your money or spouse or child, but when you let it go to God, God will have absolute preeminence.
What of our time, we don’t have time to read our bible not to talk of meditating in his word, we don’t have time for prayers and to intercede on behalf of others, but we have enough time to gossip and time to do what we suppose not to do, some people who don’t have time for God but have it for social media, they may stay on it for hours without getting tired, many Christians are addicted and obsessed with social media that it has affected every area of life.
It’s the one you love you will give your time, if you have the love of God at heart, you will find time to do his will.
If God should stop the time for our sake for a moment and demand that we account for the time we spent, what will we tell him?
Surrender all that gives your life meaning to God and let him handle the remainder and let him become the reason for your existence and become the meaning of your life.
Prayer; father lord, I surrender my totality at your feet, bring it to the purpose for which it was created in Jesus name amen.
