John 6:33-35 ( The bread of God is the one who came down from heaven and gave his life to the world. Then said unto him, Lord, evermore give us this bread. And Jesus said unto them, I’m the bread of life, he that cometh to me shall never hunger, and he that believeth in me shall never thirst)

God gave manna to the people in the wilderness, which they believed was given by Moses. They ate the food of angels and became stronger, and this carried them throughout the wilderness journey, so that their feet never grew weak and their clothes were not torn.

How much more if God decided to give us Himself as the bread of life, this is for our eternal destination that’ll strengthen the soul and the body altogether.

Jesus Christ is the bread who gave his life for many who believe in him and quenches the thirst of all who come to him.

Some of his disciples misinterpreted this saying, thinking that he would give them his flesh to eat, which they thought was abominable for a man to eat the flesh of his fellow human beings.

He expounded it here for those who have an ear to hear, it’s the people who would not come to the understanding of his word.

He says whoever comes to him will not be hungry and those who believe in him will never thirst, what Jesus is referring to in this passage is your soul, you might have the opportunity to feed yourself in this world, but if your soul is famished for the bread of life, you will regret being ever born.

Those who misinterpret his word now are the same as the people of old for they have set their mind not to understand his sayings and Jesus let them be, and not coercing them into believing in who he is.

If you can decide to misinterpret him to the extent of losing your faith in him, definitely, you are not part of him from the beginning no wonder Jesus didn’t try to call them back to his fold.

The disciples of Jesus Christ followed him without questioning his authenticity.

Bread of life is the sustenance of the soul, Bread is what preserve body from corruption and sickness if it’s eaten to satisfy the soul not with greed.

Our body was made with dust, so the food produced from the soil is what preserve it, but our souls was made by God’s spirit when he breath life into the body of Adam so also we need God himself to sustain and preserve it, when a man dies, his body go back to the soil where it came from but the soul return to God its essence.

If a soul is unregenerated its not living, it won’t go back to God if it dies, for God is not the God of the dead but of the living.

The Son of God is the one who came down to give life, the tree of life is positioned among men and men still desire to feed on a forbidden fruit and abandoned what came down to give life.

They chose to listen to the sermon from the mouth of the serpent by reading what won’t be of a benefit to their souls, many Christians are with occult books, they preferred story books that have no life to the Bible, the word of God that speaks life into their being.

But we won’t stop blaming our first parents while we are also doing the same things they did, they abandoned the tree of life which stood beside the tree of death to choose the tree that brings death to their generation.

We are also on the same level which makes the curse on them recurring and brings us to the level of spiritual and physical decadence.

It’s the knowledge of Jesus that gives life, why do you reject the knowledge of God to makes broken cistern for yourself?
Do you have the desire to feed your body with junk at the expense of your soul that will live forever?

This amounts to self-destruction for those who care for body and neglect their souls to become famished.

Some fed the body at the detriment of their soul, they sold their souls that’ll live forever to feed the body that is bound to perish, they exchanged their eternity for a morsel of bread.

Most ministers of God’s life are pathetic they abandoned the word of God to read love novels, sports magazines, watch film althrough the days; show me what you’re reading now and I will tell you what you’ll become in years.

I know of a pastor who always goes about with story books and love story, his favourite film was Korean movies filled with false love, at the end, this man started sleeping with all things in skirts in his church, which made him divorces his wife of many years, his ministry was later closed down with no one in attendance.

What devil. started gradually by playing love movies in his mind has transported him to the physical world that later ruined his destiny and destroyed his family…. to be continued.
