This message on I see the Lord is anchored in Isaiah 6:1 and explains how genuine encounters with God transform the heart, reveal personal sin, and produce true repentance. It emphasizes that knowing Jesus Christ through revelation, not religion, is the foundation for holiness, spiritual growth, and eternal life.
Isaiah 6:1 ( In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple)
This was a revelation of the prophet Isaiah of the lord. After the death of King Uzziah, he prophesied woes to the people of Israel for their sins against the Lord, but in the sixth book, he saw the Lord with His train fill the temple.
He didn’t know when he started seeing the true nature of himself, that he confessed openly that he had been a man of unclean lips, and his face had seen the Lord in His glory.
That is when he was able to accept the call when he realised that an announcement was being made in heaven to look for another servant.
Many of us have yet to have encounters with Jesus Christ, which is why our eyes are closed to see who we are, but we only see others and try to correct their mistakes, while the log in our eyes is yet to be removed by the light of his presence.
God hides himself from the Pharisees; they couldn’t see that the one they’re arguing with is God in human flesh.
But yet revealed himself to the woman by the well whose heart was panting after a saviour they were expecting and needed to be saved from the sin of adultery and from the confusion of life.
He reveals himself to whoever he will, it’s because you are yet to encounter Jesus that is why you’re still fiddling with sin and say, it doesn’t matter.
Had we seen the lord and he had revealed Himself to many of us, we would have discovered our true selves and tried to break free from self-indulgence.
The human mind is holy in itself, that is why we tried to defend ourselves when we are corrected, A natural man will never agree to his mistakes not to talk of correcting them, until his personal encounters with Christ, who is the holy one of Jacob, he will know that he is just like a filthy rag before his presence.
I pity all those who are trying to do what pleases them and discard what is contrary to their nature in the word of God. It’s because Jesus is yet to reveal himself to them that they don’t know right from wrong; they want to follow human ideology by discarding the word that speaks the truth about them.
If most of our preachers have encountered the man of Calvary, they would have rid themselves of their spiritual pride to focus on pleasing the Lord.
If you have seen the lord, you would focus on your relationship with God and align with the word, so that your eyes will be opened to correct and amend the way that’ll make you fit to advise others in the way of the lord.
When Jesus revealed himself to you, all the hate you had for sinners will dissipate, and your love for them will grow. You won’t desire your worst enemy to perish in their sin, but pray for them to be saved and come to Jesus Christ.
Lack of the revelation of Christ is what makes Christians pray for the death of their enemies; they pray amiss, for they never see right.
God want us to seek him with all our hearts. He found us in our wretched state and brought us to his side. He, in turn, desires us to seek him diligently so we may find him.
Instead of us seeking him wholeheartedly as he brought us from the myrrh clay of life, we divert our hearts into seeking mundane things and lose focus on him. No one seeks the Lord faithfully who will not see him.
If your vision of God is still cloudy, and you wouldn’t know the truth that applies to your situation in his word, it means that your heart is not seeking him wholeheartedly, it’s only those who seek him diligently that will find him.
It’s the revelation of Jesus Christ that changes many people’s orientation toward God and stops them from making a mockery of his blood and his atonement. It’s because you don’t know him that you joke with his word and gamble with your destiny.
You need to know him so that he might show you his ways, some are serving the prince of the world thinking they’re serving God, because God hide himself from them when their desire isn’t in God to know his way, as they don’t like to retain God in their knowledge, he gave them up to a reprobate mind,
This is the sign you will see in a so-called believer that indicates their lack of knowledge of who God is.
The bible says that this is the life eternal, that they might know you and Jesus Christ, who you send. The revelation of Jesus Christ leads us to the real God and the key to eternal life.
Some know the way to make money and know how to make connections in life, but the way of life is hidden from them.
If you have actually known who you are dealing with and your eyes have seen the Lord, you will bow your head at his word and say, lord, let it be done.
Job saw him and repented in dust and ashes. Moses saw his glory; his face was shining so that no man was able to behold his face.
John the beloved saw his glory, he fell down as dead at his feet. If you’re yet to tremble at the revelation of Jesus Christ, you are yet to know him.
Not just knowing him as the merciful and compassionate father, but as the just God who hates iniquity but loves sinners, as he loves sinners, he hates sin and its sinner, he casts into hell.
Most church goers are yet to have encounters with Jesus Christ till they die in sin and miss the time of their visitation, it’s now the time to move from a mediocre state and advance to the holy of holies to see the lord within the veil.
Stop craving for milk but start trying to chew bones and move from salvation level to advance to sanctification and consecrate yourself for the master’s use.
It’s those who are yet to see the lord that remains in the hall of congregation, they don’t aspire to move to the holy place, not to talk of the holy of holies, to attain the position of royal priesthood.
Remember that many are called, but few are chosen. A day of encounter with the lord can change your entire prayer life. No one saw him, and he remained the same. We can see the testimony with our Muslim brothers all over the world.
A Christian who is yet to see him is the one who fights for a church post and remains in a spot for life; those who have seen him would have known the difference between being in church and being in Christ.
Most of us only know our pastor, we want to be like them, but the day we see Christ is the day we will be tired of our mediocrity and aspire to move beyond the level of our leader to become like Jesus Christ.
Those who left the church organisation and turned their back against God are yet to know him or see him in his glory. Had they known him, they would have pushed forward against any obstacles to reach his presence.
Prayer: Father lord, reveal yourself to all your children in the world, bring them out of the bondage of the devil into your light in Jesus’ name, amen.
