Deliberate Rebellion – Sermon By Arm of The Lord Christian Ministry

You are currently viewing Deliberate Rebellion – Sermon By Arm of The Lord Christian Ministry

Deliberate Rebellion exposes the danger of knowingly disobeying the Word of God. While ignorance may excuse some actions, deliberate rebellion invites the revealed wrath of God against ungodliness and unrighteousness. This message shows how many Christians choose their own desires over submission to God, refuse correction, and blame others for the consequences of their choices. From Israel’s persistent idolatry to modern compromises within the church, deliberate rebellion leads to spiritual bondage, loss of testimony, and judgment. True repentance, obedience, and submission to God’s authority remain the only path to restoration and spiritual growth.

Romans 1:18 ( for the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who hold the truth in unrighteousness)

Some things happen to us through ignorance, and some things come through deliberately rebelling against the written or spoken Word of God.

Most of the problems in a Christian’s life are a result of self-imposed choices. We know what God wants for us, but we deliberately choose the wrong path and expect not to fall under God’s wrath as a result of our rebellion.

Though we chose God, we still want to choose our own way, so that we don’t need to depend on him to prosper; we dictate to God what we want to do with our lives, and by not submitting totally under his authority, we fell into the sin of rebellion.

The children of Israel were constantly warned by God to detach their relationship with the queen of heaven, he send prophet Jeremiah to them to stop worshipping idols of a strange land, but they insisted that even if God remain their God, they won’t stop sacrificing for the queen of heaven, for she makes their land prosper, they forget who redeemed them from slavery and set them free from the captivity of Egypt with his strong and mighty hand.

Most Christians know what the word of God says about their situation, but choose to disobey God not out of ignorance but deliberately.

Most were warned by God to change from their wickedness, he sent prophets, pastors, and evangelists, with a teacher to teach them the way of God, but their outright disobedience placed them under the wrath of God. Instead of admitting to their errors, they started blaming some people or household wickedness for their punishment.

God is a God of love, he loves humanity without condition, but is this how we pay him by walking in disobedience and still want him to release his blessings upon us?

Some people are being warned by their elders not to take a step that will ruin their lives, but in their minds, they want to do what their flesh desires, which leads them to the wrong path in the end.

There is a way that seems right, but the end thereof is destruction. Have you pondered the end of your destination before you embark on that journey? Do you know where that rebellious journey will lead you?

Any step taken with a rebellious heart won’t produce sweetness in the end; it’s sorrow that ends the way of sinful pleasure.

Satan knows what he’s doing by presenting pleasure through the way of sin; he sugar-coats sin with sweetness and hides the bitterness inside, so as you taste the sweetness of it, a bitter taste follows, which you won’t be able to resist.

What is happening to you right now may be the result of what you did in the past, but as it’s in human nature to transfer aggression and blame others, you won’t admit to your rebellion and repent to receive healing from God.

This is one of the antics that keep men in perpetual bondage.

God shows you your sin and your disobedience against his law for you to come to repentance, but the flesh won’t allow you to admit it, you’re using prayer and deliverance to cover up, but that sin is still there, calling for vengeance.

That is why repentance is needed, but it’s the grace of God and his mercy that will bring the heart to repentance to amend your ways.

Unfortunately, it’s only given to the few who are chosen by God, not many who are called.

Christians, God has overlooked the time of ignorance, your deliberate rebellion now comes with heavy consequences.

If you don’t want to listen now, you only invite his wrath upon yourself; he gave his law to follow, and it’s only a rebellious heart that will kick against it.

It would have been better if you hadn’t repented than repented and not aspired to grow spiritually.

This is the group whose punishment will be great in hell, for knowing the truth of God but choosing to follow lies to their own damnation.

How can a pastor who teaches the congregation live in fornication if not outright rebellion against the ordinances of God, and still wants God to manifest his wonders where his Word is trampled upon?

If ordinary members do that, we can say maybe she is yet to know more about God.

If someone in charge of the church’s finances started stealing from the church’s purse, what should we call it if it’s not outright rebellion?

No wonder Judas was not forgiven, he stayed and lived with the best teacher and still went astray in his own way and chose destruction.

What makes you grow to reach the level you are in the church and still be envious of others, to the extent that you become an obstruction to their progress, needs to be questioned.

Most of us know the will of God, but just choose to disobey to follow our corrupt nature, which will, in turn, invoke the undiluted wrath of God.

King David, who knew God’s will, the man after God’s heart, chose to obey his carnality, face the wrath of God undiluted, because he chose to mock God and allowed the enemy of God to reproach his name.

This is also what every believer who chooses to live in rebellion does to God, because of this, the world may not choose God and bring reproach to the name of God among unbelievers.

Unbelievers are now mocking God among themselves. Most of them refuse to go to church, as they’re seeing the behavior of Christians in our society, they’ll choose to go their own way instead of following the path of unfaithful Christians who don’t understand the God they serve.

Not knowing that most of these people are there by the order of Satan, knowingly or unknowingly, to chase away whoever wants to go the right way of the kingdom of God.

These weird Christians represent a message from the devil to show the world that the scriptures are not all that powerful to change human characters, but the real Christians need to prove him wrong that the holy scripture is enough to change men from worse to better; you should just know the kind of God whom you serve.

All of them stand as a message to the world and to the Christians, it’s either you follow man or follow Christ, the disciples of Christ will rather be on the Lord’s side, and those who are on the wrong side have already chosen the path of destruction; there is no argument in this.

They are telling you now, but you refuse to listen. Is it when you reach hell that you will want God to twist his way for you when you couldn’t amend your ways on earth to meet up with his demand?

If God should do that, Satan too will ask for leniency from God, because as God will forgive your rebellion so also he too needs to be forgiven, but God will never descend to our level, it’s either you meet his demand and escape the punishment or you stay on your lane and face the consequences in hell.

Prayer: Father Lord, guide me through the right path by the leading of your Word in Jesus name, amen.
