SERVING GOD UNDER HIS WRATH

Heb 10:31 ( It is a fearful thing to fall into the hand of the living God)

The worst situation a man can be in is to serve God under his wrath; unfortunately, this is what most so-called believers are doing.

They are operating under God’s judgment while thinking they’re in his service.

Have you wondered why it seems that God is far away from you? Have you ever pondered God’s silence over your life despite prayers prayed and fasting? You still claim your relationship with him when you are in rebellion against his commandments.

You’re under his wrath if you only accept him to be your saviour without accepting his lordship.

The spirit of God had left many believers; they’re just like an empty vessel that makes the loudest noise.

They use spiritual activities to cover their depravity so that the odour of their sin won’t ooze out for the world to perceive as they are no longer in a relationship with God.

Some turn to God’s enemies the day they neglect the voice of correction that’s trying to bring them closer to Him.

Remember that the day King Saul disobeyed God’s commandments was the day he was dethroned as king over God’s heritage, even though men still reverence him, but the glory of God had departed.

If a pressing iron is disconnected from its source or power, it might take a long time to cool down, while you can still use its energy to iron clothes, but only soft clothes, which after it’ll cool down and become useless for its original purpose.

This is how some Christian lives are, immediately they’re disconnected from the source of their power who is God, they may still try to act like Samson after his hair has been cut off, but he can never be the same again only to fall prey to the hand of his Delilah who turned him to pepper grinder amid his enemies.

Their life had been cut off as a branch from the vine, while they’re gradually drying out and will later be cast into the unquenchable fire.

Many are operating under his permissive will, while others are operating in total rebellion. Permissive will is still classified as rebellion in his sight. God won’t tolerate compromise.

Some Christian leaders’ influence over the generations of mankind is so great that their impact shall be felt through eternity, what of if they have missed the way all along and their paths are not in line with the word of God, and they teach others to do so?

Whoever follows their crooked path will also be like them and will operate under the anger of God.

The more they led men astray from the path of righteousness, the more their punishment increases in hell, and the more terrible they are for eternity.

They might not feel the impact of their error in this world, but after death, they will forever regret coming to the world to fight against God.

As many people as they misled will be their greater punishment in eternity.

If you’re not operating under his mercy, you will definitely be under his anger, there is no neutrality.

God won’t shine his face on those who are under his wrath and will not lift his countenance over them, till they all perish.

It’s a terrible thing to fall into the hand of the living God, if man is angry with you, you can look unto God, if Satan is angry with you to torment you, you can run to the great deliverer and he will set you free, but if God is angry with you who will be your advocate?

Some things are happening in individual lives that it’s the hand of God that is in control, that is why it’s difficult to break through until repentance takes place and the sin is forgiven.

The easiest prayer to be answered is when you run to God from your enemies for deliverance, but the most difficult prayers to answer are if you deliberately are on the wrong side of God and you’re praying but not ready to get down on your knees for repentance.

God can not be mocked; whatever you sow, you shall reap. God is angry with sinners every day. When he shall arise to scatter his enemy, where will you be on that day?

Will you be part of the enemy to scatter unto desolation, or will you be part of his warrior and battle axe fighting on his behalf?

All this depends on your choice when there is still time, it’s your choice to be on his wrong side, and also your choice to remain as his enemy.

If you’re serving under his wrath till death meets up with you, you won’t experience his mercy after death, but his wrath continues even throughout eternity.

The thief by his side realized this and quickly made an amendment before entering the state of no return. The mercy of God is always available when we come to him for repentance.

He says, do not harden your heart as in the day of provocation in the wilderness, he is still speaking and his voice is echoing from Calvary to those who are tired of serving under his wrath to have a change of destiny, and make his face shine on them and his countenance be lifted up.

Prayer: Father, by your mercy, remove me from your wrath in Jesus’ name, amen.
