John 14:8,9 ( Philip said unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it suffices us. Jesus said unto him, have I been so long with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? He that hath seen me hath seen the Father, and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?)
It would have been something foolish to have seen Jesus and still asked of the Father because the Father was in him and him in the Father; anyone who has seen him has seen the Father.
He told the Pharisees that they would die in their sin if they didn’t believe that he was.
One of Christ’s disciples was questioning his divinity by saying show us the Father Tha it will suffice them.
They had been with him learning from him but still do not know that he is God, some people in the church will listen to sermons all the days of their lives, working for God and doing service in the church of God, but they’re far from salvation because they don’t know who they supposed to know, they only know their leaders name and his needs but they don’t know the way of salvation which is Jesus Christ.
This type of confusion has been popping up for ages, and it still continues in our generation for those who don’t want to acknowledge Jesus for who he is; they’re trying to fashion God for themselves so that his demands will be at the same level as their standards.
This is the reason many religions, aside from Christianity, don’t acknowledge Jesus as God; they want to follow a god that will permit their lawlessness and reduce his value to their standard, who offers grace while still living in sin.
They desire a Father who always loves but not a God who reprimands, who pampers them as they walk in their lewdness and reprobate minds.
Jesus Christ revealed himself to whoever wants to associate with the real God; if you don’t know that he is the one sent by God and that the Father dwells in him, you will die in your sin.
Those who push him aside to get to God are passing through another medium that won’t lead to their desired purpose.
Different masters are pointing to different fathers; it’s only those who pass through Jesus that connect to the Father in heaven.
They chose not to acknowledge Christ as the one sent by God; they looked at another dimension, seeking someone created from their depraved imagination.
The result of not acknowledging Christ as the son of God is eternal death; whoever you desire to choose who is not from God will lead you to another destination, which is eternal damnation.
That is why Jesus forbade the disciples not to call anyone father or master, for the one you choose to be your father is the one you’re worshipping the spirit behind his title.
Some don’t have Jesus as their Master; their prayers are being directed to other realms as they refuse to pray according to his leading, and this kind of master won’t give eternal life, for they don’t have it.
A religion has Mohamed as their Master who leads the worshippers to his god; whoever follows that one can’t enter the realm of God but the one who sits upon the mount of the congregation pretending to be God.
As there are counterfeit Jesus, there are also fake gods; if you can’t follow who is sent by God, you aren’t after the real.
The real Father can only be known through Jesus Christ because he is the one he sent to the world. All others are counterfeit.
There is a song that is trending now, that, ” I have decided to follow Jesus” and the church is questioning its source, I wouldn’t argue so much on this all I know is that it’s not Jesus of Calvary whom God sent that many are serving, there are different kinds of Jesus with different gospel.
Jesus that was loved in the beer parlor and the one they’re praising in the hotel can’t be the one the Pharisees nailed to the Cross.
That kind of people can’t say they have a link with the heavenly Father, even the Jews who claimed the genealogy of Abraham; Jesus told them categorically that Satan is their father, for they hate the one God sent.
Since they rejected the one God sent, they also rejected the true Father, even if they were claiming a relationship with God.
God is the ancient of days, he never invented new paths, and his standards never changed so also did his Word, some people are deceiving themselves when they say there is God for each generation, the God of the ancient is the God of now, the God of the mountain is still the God of the valley, he can never change.
As they’re claiming other Gods for themselves, they also invented another savior, their Jesus, who can condone their worldliness; this is not the kind of God I want to submit to; the one I know is who gave his life for my redemption.
Whoever wants to know who the Father is should look at Jesus Christ on the cross; if you have seen Jesus Christ, you have also seen the Father; if you reject him, you rejected the Father.
The pride in man is what is rejecting the divinity of Christ; they forsake the fountain of living water and try to make a broken cistern; this is what Naman wanted to do that he would have missed his miracles, but one of his servants let him saw the reality which made him received his salvation immediately.
The day you acknowledge Christ as the Father is the day you received salvation and you’ll know that the Lord is true.
Prayer: My Father and my God, reveal yourself to me. Don’t let me be led away from your side by worldly attractions, in Jesus’ name, amen.
