IN HIS IMAGE

Gen 1:27 ( so God created man in his image, in the image of God created he him, male and female created he them)
Matt 5:48 ( be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect)

God made man in his image; there is no other creature created in that image, and none of the angels in heaven have the likeness of God.

It’s not in the physical image, but in the spiritual; the breath of God that was breathed into us in creation signifies the presence of God, and our body becomes his temple.

God created human being male and female, this image is what carries his glory and to have dominion and subdued the earth.

No other creature can love except a human being; God’s love is everlasting, and he manifested on the Cross that while we were yet sinners, the enemy of God, Christ, died for us.

Love is God’s attribute that he shares with man; demons can’t love for they don’t possess this attribute even if they appear in human form; that is why God’s kind of love is very scarce since the seed of the serpent had mixed with the seed of the woman.

This shows that not all humans have the image and the likeness of God; the image of God in humans was marred by sin, and love became lust, which is only directed to things that will gratify selfish desire.

The ability to love is given to those who accept Jesus Christ; they’re broken by the power of the Cross, and by removing the foreskin of the flesh, they were given the heart that is ready to do the will of God.

It’s normal to discuss love, which strengthens humans’ relationships with each other, but it isn’t easy to exhibit among the so-called believers.

It’s not only by mouth but in actions.

This is the only way we can rise above mediocre levels and be perfected the way heaven is demanding; it’s only by loving each other, even our enemy, that we can be perfected just like our God.

The Bible says, “Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hates you, and pray for them which despitefully use you and persecute you, that ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven. “

Everyone claims to have a relationship with God in one way or the other, but the Father and Child relationship can only be found in loving the way God loves.

God is good all the time; his goodness transcends all occurrences and human weakness.

If we are not good to those who hate us how do we show the goodness of God to humanity who are ready to perish in hell that God is always good, even though they are evil?

It’s the goodness of God that’ll deliver them and make them follow the true path.

It’s God’s kind of image that Christians need to show for the world to feel guilty of rejecting God when they enter hell.

Someone that you slapped and turned the other side will enter your conscience in hell and regret forever trampling on that kind of Love to find yourself there.

The moment they are there, they will always remember how the mercy of God was extended, but they are the ones who trampled on it and rejected his goodness.

Love is the image of God that he wants his people to exhibit to the people around them; the day Christians leave the earth through rapture, those who rejected Christ and persecuted his followers will regret ever being born because all that’ll be here is hatred of God and whatever he represents.

Real love can only be found with the redeemed; it’s the impartation of the Holy Spirit that quickens the souls to bring them back to the Lord’s image, and that’s why this kind of love is rare among the heathens.

They can only love their own and give to those who they think will give back; the love of God transcends all this; this is how the world can be won over to Christ when we show that we were like them before, but the love of God makes us better than them.

To win the world over to Christ, some people abandoned their comfort zone and went to the uttermost part of the earth, not caring for their lives, for they have submitted themselves to the love of Christ even unto death.

It’s this kind of love that made Christians sacrifice their lives for the sake of saving souls and delivering others from the dungeon of darkness.

This is the love Christ exhibited on the Cross, and we want that kind of sacrifice on our side for others so that men can come out of darkness into the light of our Lord.

It’s in this image the glory of God resides; you can’t claim to be his glory when your soul is evil against your fellow brethren.

That image isn’t the physical features, it’s something within that the enemy sees in man that makes him tremble.

A competitive heart can’t express the image of God, you do to others as you want them to do to you.

There were arguments between me and my Sunday school teacher many years ago; she said we can’t attain perfection on earth till we reach heaven, and that’s when we shall be perfected.

Then I said, why did the Lord say we should be perfect as our Father in heaven is perfect? Since Jesus said it, surely it becomes attainable.

Most Christians don’t think we can reach perfection as divine standards; that’s why they’ll say, everyone has a weakness, so why should I get rid of my own?

The way to perfection is to love as God loves; that is the express image of God, which manifests in Jesus Christ, the mystery of godliness.

If you love God, you won’t have anything to do with images or exalt things more than him, then if you love man, you won’t be envious of him or covet his property or plan his death secretly.

Jesus showed the way of perfection to that ruler in the synagogue, that he should sell everything he had and give it to the poor and then follow Him.

By doing this, he has done everything that needs to be done and become perfected in God’s image that’ll make him perfect to attain the level of Christ’s stature.

This is how we can become one with Christ and manifest his image to the world, that truly God is on the moves in the affairs of mankind.

Prayer: Father Lord crucify every carnality in me and remold me to your image, in Jesus’ name amen
