Deuteronomy 18:18-22 ( I will then raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like u to thee, and I will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that i shall command him. 20, But the Prophet who shall presume to speak against word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that Prophet shall die. 21, And if thou shall say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the LORD hath not spoken? 22, when a prophet speaks in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him)

The prophet of God and his word are like five and six. A prophet who speaks the word of God must come in alignment with His true word.

This is the mark of identification to know the true prophet among those who identify with His name.

God promised the children of Israel the coming of the true messiah who carries and represents his word to the generation, whom they must be obeyed, this is the prophecy concerning Jesus, the saviour of the world, who is the word of God personified.

There are many prophets this day that bear this title but never had the word, they are identify with the name of God’s but not his word, no alignment between them and the word of God, even their actions never glorify God, even the word of God says, we shouldn’t be afraid of them, they can’t killed neither will they make someone live.

The logo of these fake prophets is that they don’t know the future, they might know what has happened in the past but the present and the future are beyond their reach, they may prophesied your future but it won’t be accurate, don’t be scared of them.

A prophet is an oracle of God who carries the word of God in his mouth, if he speaks the mind of God, he is a divine representative, the ambassador of the Most High.

The prophets of old warned people about God’s judgment against iniquity, they were assigned to put man in a right path if a nation is turning to apostasy.

They don’t have power on their own, they depend on “thus saith the LORD” to carry on their daily spiritual activities.

If someone tells you that something is going to happen and it doesn’t happen, it only means that God did not send him.

I wonder how a prophet of God will start predicting football matches or the result of elections, it is the spiritual life of people God is interested in, not the football match of elections result.

These kinds are not called by God, they are seeking a position of influence to attract men who’ll seek revelation from them to make money for themselves.

The only prophecy for unbelieving nations is repentance, as Jonah preached in Nineveh to turn the heart of their king to God.

How many prophecies had they prophesied to you in the past that have not seen the light of day? Do you still hand over the steering of your life to these prophets?

God has given us his word, and this word is the lord Jesus Christ, whoever fails to listen to him, God will require of him.

Jesus Christ is the word of God, and the seal of prophecy “In the beginning was the Word, the Word was with God and the Word was God “.

Jesus Christ became the seal of all prophets who came to the world to show us the way to the presence of God, he is the one chosen by God to carry His word to humanity and whoever refuses to obey him is at their own detriment.

If you truly believe in the Lord Jesus Christ you won’t place your priorities on prophets and honour their words more than the word of God.

The mark of identification of a true child of God is his obedience to the word, how can you say you respect a man but dishonour his word?

This is what most Christians do, they claim to love God and become the followers of Jesus but dishonour his written Word.

God says, I will honour those who honour me, and will dishonour those who dishonour me, which categories are you?

When you dishonour the word of God, you have already despised the one who speaks, that is why some Christians’ lives are without honour, they are slaves to other masters in the land that their Father in heaven created.

It makes them become slaves to their spiritual god-fathers, they dishonour God’s word to become servants of servants.

They reject the honour of God to pay obeisance to the power that takes their generation captives.

All the children of God are prophets to some degree, they speak on God’s behalf to warn this crooked generation and pass judgment upon the children of disobedience as commanded by God.

Elijah depicted this very well when he locked the window of heaven and put the keys in his pocket because he abide in the will of God and follow him to the letter, to the extent that the power of death and the grave lose its control over him, for he wasn’t operate in the spirit of a fallen man, but the spirit of the word of God.

No wonder he represents the dispensation of the prophets as Moses represents the dispensation of the law, and God used Moses as an example for the prophet whom he will send.

Had we had like four of Elijah in this generation we should have silenced the voice of the wicked one that is rising against us in judgment.

How can someone who speaks on God’s behalf have four wives and concubine scatter abroad?
And this person will tell you “thus saith the lord” and you’ll believe to your own detriment.

Or how can someone who bleached her body from head to toes bring the word of grace to you, they scattered abroad in the time of Prophet Jeremiah but God silenced them to promote the voice of his prophet

Jesus Christ in us is the hope of our glory, the carrier of his resurrection power that overcomes the power of death.

As the word of God dwells in you richly, the power of Satan will lose his strongholds and will perpetually remain under your feet.

The word of God makes a difference between a prophet of Baal and a prophet of the Most High, men can’t differentiate between them, because of thus saith the lord that is coming from both of them, any prophet that is not living the word doesn’t belong to him no matter his influence on society and the people of God at large.

Prayer: Father lord, by your spirit, destroy all the prophets of Baal from our midst, let all nations know that we are serving a living God, in Jesus name amen
