Matthew 4:8 ( again, the devil took him up into an exceeding high mountain, and shewed him all the kingdom of the world and the glory of it)
This teaching sheds light on the world’s glory and how it often distracts believers from the true glory that comes from God. It explains the difference between earthly recognition and divine purpose and reminds us that real glory is found in seeking God’s kingdom and allowing his presence to shine through our lives.
It seems that Christians have misinterpreted the glory of the world to be the glory of God, which is why many are struggling to possess the glory of the world by sacrificing their relationship with God to have it.
God created human beings for his glory, that is the reason we are made and the purpose of the recreation, he never creates us in vain.
The glory of the world belongs to the devil and he sees to it that the people desire it.
I am the richest man on earth, I am the only one who flies on a private jet, my church is the largest in the whole world, I have more than five thousand worshippers in my congregation, all these things belong to the world, it doesn’t have anything to do with the glory of the kingdom.
Even on social media we keep on looking for likes and comments, when Jeremiah was on earth, he carried his presence and the aura of holiness in him, which made many disassociate themselves and end up weeping for the sake of Israel, with the Lord’s glory in full manifestation.
Unfortunately, that is what many Christians are after, to prove to the world that they have arrived, this can only be gotten from the feet of the prince of the world, because that is not what we are created for, we are made to manifest the glory of God alone.
He is using the allurements of the world to tempt those who wish to follow God in life and divert human attention from the way of Calvary that activates God’s glory.
It’s not by acquiring many things that you have arrived, you arrive by doing the will of God and being justified in his kingdom.
Satan came to Jesus Christ to tempt him for the glory of the world, he said, he will give all to him at the expense of losing his deity as the Son of God and bow down to the authority of the devil.
This is what people are doing in Christendom, they bow to Satan’s authority to be famous and end up doing his bidding.
They end up becoming God’s enemies by alliance with Satan to fight on his side against God’s kingdom.
God wants to glorify his children but we must be justified, there is always an effect after a cause, when we have been predestinated, then we are called, after we answer, then we will be justified, and then glorified.
This process is precept upon precept, and line upon line for you to attain the level you’re created to be in life.
No wonder Jesus Christ says, we must first seek the kingdom of God and God’s righteousness which is Christ himself, to get to what the people of the world are struggling to achieve, without struggles on our own side.
The glory of the world that we misinterpret is what confuses the journey of Christianity.
Popularity and fame do fade, Satan can make you popular and famous today but he will use others to replace you when your time expires.
The glory of God will never fade, as heaven and earth last so also the glory of God, it outlives heaven because it can only be achieved inside God.
God is the glory of his people, the manifestation of the presence of God in you is what glorifies you, he chose you as his habitation to manifest Himself to the world.
Wherever you are, you are the carriers of the Almighty, whatever he does through you lasts forever, it will be the remembrance of what the Lord has done from generation to generation.
The disciples of the Lord while he was on earth never acquired earthly or material treasures, they didn’t fly on a private jet or have properties for themselves, all that they acquired was for the Lord and his glory, but their remembrance will be from generation to generation, and what they have written for the benefit of every man that comes to the world.
Any glory that requires you to sacrifice others to achieve is not from God, Jesus sacrificed himself to give us himself, which represents his glory, it’s the devil that will want you to pull down others for you to excel.
God shines through his children, if God cannot manifest through you to bring the gentile to himself, that is not glory, if he cannot shine through you to attract others, it’s not the Lord’s glory, and if all you have is to impress others, it’s from the prince of the world.
I wonder how a believer who desires the glory of God will seek assistance from Satan to shine, what they call glory is not glory, the bible says, the glory that you are searching for isn’t glory, (Proverbs 25:27) it’s the weapon of Satan fashioned to destroy your life and destiny.
You have to use your eternal life to secure your earthly life, instead of using your present life to secure your heaven.
That is why most breakthrough is not real breakthrough, they are the weapon of diversion to distract you from your destiny.
You want to minister gospel music to people, then you bow to the devil to attract a crowd to your music concert, remember that the world that shouted Hosanna yesterday is the one that will also shout Crucify him today.
That is not glory it’s decadent to smear you before God and disqualify you from entering his presence.
Satan who offers you this knows what he means it’s you who is ignorant of his devices.
He gives you in exchange for your souls and to bring your ministry under his authority and whatever you do won’t achieve the purpose you came to the world, but separate you from divine plans and deny you access to your father’s kingdom.
It’s the people of the world that opted for the world’s glory, it starts on earth and ends on earth, they become men of renown on earth but their names are not written in the book of life, whatever you achieve outside God doesn’t have eternal values.
That is a direct ticket to hell, because it’s in exchange for your soul.
Satan takes away your value the essence of your creation and offers you a counterfeit to fulfill his own purpose in human life.
This is what he was trying to offer Jesus but Jesus declined, for all that Christ did is for humanity, as he overcame Satan, he gave us the grace to turn down the devil’s offer to choose the reason we are created.
Prayer: Father Lord, I surrender myself to you, manifest your glory in my life, in Jesus’ name amen.
