If God wants to use you to heal the sick he must have passed you through a series of afflictions that defy medications and can only be healed by the supernatural power of the holy Spirit.

Those whom God used to lift the poor out of poverty would have passed through that stage and see the miraculous power of God in divine provisions that’ll make them show mercy to the poor and teach them the way to the treasury of God.

Marriage counsellors would have experienced some things in their marriage and overcome by faith which makes them teach young generations how to handle their families.

Moses was chosen to shepherd the Israelites out of slavery, after he had shepherded the sheep of his father-in-law in a strange land, and knew the way to handle the weak and the pregnant among the flocks.

Likewise, David was taking care of the destitute and the discouraged with the destress people in the wilderness, before coming to the palace to care for the flocks of God.

He took care of the lion and the shepherd in the forest before taking care of Goliath, the troubler of God’s people.

With trials comes patience and with patience comes perseverance and with perseverance comes experience, it’s through others’ experience that men could learn from if they’re wise enough not to fall into the same mistakes.

Adversity is a weapon of training to bring out the best in you for you to be of benefit to others who are passing the road you have passed before.

Jesus passed through all these to see the Pilgrims on their way to the promised land.

You don’t have excuses for not fulfilling your mission on earth, or Christians going back to sin after experiencing the power of salvation, for all these are what Christ went through and became victorious, and handed over the mantle of victory to his followers.

Is it hunger or thirst, or rejection or persecution, Jesus passed through all, even he tasted death for everyone so that he can destroy the power of death over those who come to him for deliverance.

It’s those who are not important in God’s program that won’t have any challenges in life, Jacob was promised to possess the gates of his enemy, while Esau was just someone who didn’t have anything to offer to humanity.

That was when his brother came back from the land of sojourn, he never saw the impact of running away with his birthright he had stolen, which made him settle for peace, not knowing that the promise is spiritual so also the path of getting there.

He met his brother on the way with hundreds of men while Jacob was still struggling to contain his family.

This is because Jacob’s future is brighter than his brother’s, when Esau was enjoying his time in the city, Jacob was going to slavery with all his household in Egypt for he is a child of the covenant.

The prophecy on Jacob was not of presence, he must pass through all this for what God has purposed for him to come to fulfillment.

In their lifetime, Esau was more comfortable than his brother who held the mantle of prophecy.

It’s only those who are a threat to the powers of darkness that Satan won’t leave alone, but those who don’t have anything to contribute to humanity may live in pleasure all through but in the end, they will have no place in the divine program, thereby losing their place in the kingdom of God.

No adversity is useless in divine programs, we learned from Jacob’s, we learn from David, but the only thing we learned from Esau’s is not to be foolish enough to sell your birthright.

Joseph was sold at a tender age into slavery and ended up in prison while his brothers were busy enjoying their father’s bosom till the time of famine that changed everything.

Adversity becomes a stepping stone to greatness and is a ladder to the place appointed for Christians to be in life

Had those who planned it known, they wouldn’t have done it, Satan who planned the crucifixion and the death of the Lord Jesus Christ never knew that this would be the way to seal his perpetual doom and reconcile man to God and overthrow him from his seat of dominion over men.

Prayer: Father Lord, I thank you for how far you have led me, bring me to the place of my rest, and don’t let me perish in the wilderness of life in Jesus’ name amen
