Matt 4:7 ( Jesus said unto him, it is written again, Thou shall not tempt the Lord thy God)

Heb 3:8,9 ( Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation in the day of temptation in the wilderness; when your fathers tempted me to prove me and saw my works forty years)

Most Christians have fallen into this sin of tempting God as if it’s funny, which resulted in denying them of entering into the rest of God.

Walking by faith is not equal to putting God into testing. The three Hebrews that were thrown inside the furnace were forced into it by the king’s command; they put their faith in God for safety; they believed that even if God wouldn’t save them, they desired to die pleasing him.

Likewise, Daniel in the Lion’s den, was put there by his enemies but came out unscathed because he believed in the God of Israel.

It wasn’t he who entered the pit to test the potency of God’s power for protection.

There are ways in which we put God to the test in the name of exercising faith and still expecting him to come for our deliverance.

You can’t drink poison willingly to test if God will remove the potency. Satan took Jesus to the highest pinnacle of the temple, asking him to jump down to test if God would fulfill the promise he made, but the Lord replied, “Don’t test the Lord thy God”.

Some Christians are testing God by going into debt, which they don’t have the means of paying back, with the hope that God will meet them at the point of their need.

The need is different from wanting; want is the desire of the flesh, but God knows all our needs and will answer our requests at his appointed time.

Human want is insatiable; it’s our need that God will supply, not our wants.

Most people believe that God is going to rain money from heaven for their sake when actually they are putting his benevolence to testing.

Some, with the act of covetousness, desire what belongs to others, that they don’t have the means of acquiring; they go by faith to have it on credit, which makes them become debtors.

We are tempting God by disobedience to his commandments, saying what can he do?

This is what Adam and Eve did in the garden and received a curse; God is not anyone’s mate; he is higher than the highest, and by willingly disobeying his law is mocking him.

Israelites did it in the wilderness; after the law was given on the mountain, they went in rebellion to mold themselves golden image to test the potency of his law.

What is written in the bible is for our own guidance, and the knowledge of the Holy is understanding of his way; if we know his likes and his hates, why do we go ahead and do the opposite if we truly have respect for him?

No one can tempt God and still enter His rest; that is why most Christians still remain in the valley of demotions when God is guiding them through his word; they pretend not to listen because it’s not satisfactory to their carnal nature.

But keep on knocking on the door for him to open and keep on asking as if he will answer when they continue dwelling in the rebelliousness of their heart.

There was a Satanist who some believers wanted to deliver.

They brought him to the church and the prayer warriors gathered around to pray for him.

This little boy of age ten just laughed and started removing some people from the prayer group by pointing at their weaknesses.

One of them and the other ladies just slept with each other overnight, while the condom fell off from one of their pockets; by the time this little boy finished with them, it was only two that remained that were qualified to pray for him out of twelve.

This kind of person thinks they can live in their filthiness and still stand in the gap for others in prayers.

That is how some Christians receive arrows that they won’t know the origin, for they’re tempting God, they’re living in sin and still stand in the gap to pray for people.

They think that God can’t be serious with his word, so they take it for granted.

Tempting God is the origin of it doesn’t matter; when we know his word and deliberately disobey, we are saying we don’t care about the consequences that follow.

These are the kind of people who use prayer to bribe God when they don’t want to live in his will; obedience is always better than sacrifice.

When you’re not praying in the Will of God and you want him to answer your request, you’re daring him to lie to his word.

A man went to a mountain to seek God’s favor concerning his life partner.

He said God told him that a lady was his wife, but the lady got married to someone else and had three children.

But this one still has hope that this woman will come back to him. Then the servant of God said he was hallucinating, and that kind of prophecy can’t come to pass by believing she will come back has turned to lust on his side.

Someone who got married with three children and you still believe that she will still be your wife, you dare to tempt God to go against his word through your prayers that can’t be answered.

God won’t answer a request prayed against his word unless you go to the devil to collect counterfeit that will later damn your soul.

Whatever God would not give can’t be given by Satan, no one can open the womb God closed.

He has the keys of David in his hand; he shuts when no one can open and opens when no one can shut.

Prayer: The Lord is my shepherd. I shall not want; God will remove every seed of want in my life, that I won’t go against his Word in Jesus’ name, amen.
