THE NEEDFUL

Luke 10:41,42 ( and Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and trouble about many things, but one thing is needful and Mary hath chosen that good part which shall not be taken away from her)

There are two categories of people in the house of God: those who cumbered about much serving and those who sit at the feet of the Master to listen to his word and learn of His ways.

There are things we believe that are important to us in God’s service that make us neglect the most important part, it’s not by what we do to please God, but the good part is to learn at his feet and know what pleases him, which Mary chose over the former and Christ commended that it can’t be taken from her.

Immediately, some Christians become born again. They are careful in the things of the church not minding the position of their souls, of how to work for God and be promoted into the position of leadership.

Some rush to Bible colleges and learn the way of religion, but the important part is not learning from others but learning at his feet.

We can’t work without consulting the owner of the works. Unfortunately, that’s what many do in the house,, and missed the most important things related to their souls.

I remember a lady who joined our church not more than a month from white garment church, and one minister approached her and asked her what she was doing to serve God. Is it ushering or serving in the choir, just not to sit down and do nothing?

The woman replied that I just wanted to learn from his presence, until I grew spiritually, I wouldn’t be able to venture into any ministerial works.

I asked the woman that, why are you rushing this woman into service?

Our first assignment is to learn at his feet.

Those who become leaders today remove that part and rush into work because of the benefits of leadership, not minding the weight, which they’ll later regret in the end.

Before I started doing anything in my local church, I had almost reached ten years of learning and studying to assimilate the word and put it into practice.

Mistakes of many Christians is that they failed to learned or heard for the Master before venture out to the deep to catch fish, that is why they fall prey to the enemy’s attack and lose their crown.

Most teachers in the church are yet to learn from the master, they taught what they know from mouth to mouth, not directly from the great teacher.

Some download messages on the Internet to suit their listeners, which prevents their growth from reaching the level of Christ’s stature.

Most people use work to replaced obedience, remember when some people came to Christ to ask what they could do to work for God, the Lord replied that they should first believe in who he sent, this is the first assignment in the kingdom, after faith comes works, you can’t use work to reciprocate faith in the Kingdom.

If you claim to have faith, then your work in the church will show automatically.

This kind of attitude prevents the growth in the service, this is what Martha did, and miss that good part that was chosen by Mary.

Jesus Christ taught the disciples before he sent them out; he empowered them on the day of Pentecost before they could face the enemy in battle.

Most workers are yet to receive the Holy Spirit; they operate in the flesh, which is why their ministration doesn’t have an impact on the lives of the hearers.

Most pastors and prophets with church leaders are yet to encounter divine revelation; as they enter the church, they go to Bible colleges and learn from man how to lead the congregation.

Supposed as Peter heard the word from the master at the seaside, he picked up his bag and started preaching without waiting in Jerusalem; the disaster would have been great, they had waited in the upper room before launching out, and the result was impressive.

It’s the knowledge of bible college that most ministers had that brought them to a higher height in the ministries; they are yet to learn from the Master.

That is why they produced followers like them, who will never reach the maturity of Christ’s stature.

There are many devices in man’s heart but it’s God’s counsel that will stand.

Most Christians are working for God for the best reason known to them, but the trials of furnaces and storms will differentiate and set the dross from gold and wood from silver.

Studying at his feet is the most difficult thing to do for those who are yet to receive the spirit of God; they’ll work in the flesh with zeal, thinking they’re doing the right thing.

Whoever God uses will pass through his teaching to minister to others what he learns in his presence, and still waiting at his feet to learn more and be able to teach more.

The more you learn, the more you teach, and your students will surpass you in knowledge if you stop learning from your Master.

The more he learns, the more he grows, and the more others grow through him by knowledge impacted.

Whoever fails to do this will have another master pretending to be the most high that will direct him to the wrong side, different from Calvary and their followers.

Most of the people who are parading as pastors and prophets have not learned from the great teachers; that’s why they borrow the system of the world and apply it to the worship of the highest God.

Apostles were never sent out in a day or the moment; they had contact with the Savior; how do you succeed when you’re rushing out of his presence in the name of ministry?

Many are running others’ assignments and yet to receive their own, and many are photocopies of others in the house of God when they’re yet to discover the reason for their calling.

It’s because they see some in the ministry of deliverance many people become photocopies and set up deliverance ministry.

The assignment of Elijah is different from that of Elijah even though he was his trainer.

The one of Joshua is different from that of Moses even though he was his master.

Each person in the kingdom has different assignments which we must discover by learning at his feet, but how many can face the rigorous of his teaching?

Most of us are using service to substitute obedience to his teaching; we are using works to cover up without believing in who God sent.

These set are the ones that will receive the most terrible words on that day, which says, “Depart from me, ye workers of iniquity, even though they preached in his street or heal the sick in his name; it’s only those he discipled that will receive welcome faithful servant.

Prayers: Father Lord keep me safe in your presence, let me abide in you always, and learn from you in Jesus’ name amen
