WHO YOU SHOULD LISTEN TO 3 – BIBLE STUDY SERMON

Satan also uses someone close and dear to you to discourage you from following the will of God, even someone you trust the most, to divert you from God’s purpose.

If whatever someone says is contrary to what is written in the Bible, you should think twice. The Bible says, “I will raise a prophet among you,” and whatever he says will come to pass. But if he tells you to follow another god contrary to the God who brought you out of the land of bondage, you should not follow him, for God uses him to test you to see whether you will follow another god.

Even if whatever the person predicted comes to pass, it is not from God. Unfortunately, Christians often use gifts to discern those sent by God and not their fruits. If such a person brings another god and another Jesus to worship, the Bible says we should not follow.

Many have been misled because of Satan’s agents sent as their spouses. Samson was led away from God’s will by Delilah, and so also was King Ahab, who married Jezebel, the princess of Moab. The first man also chose to obey his wife more than God and brought all generations of humanity into calamity.

Many ladies are in hell because of wearing what God despises. They dress with the attachments of Jezebel because their husbands said so. They obey their spouses more than God.

Jesus Christ said, “Whoever loves his wife, mother, father, or even his own life more than Me is not worthy of Me.”

You should listen to God more than yourself because the spirit of man can sometimes be deceptive. No one is perfect.

Most of the time, it is those who are close to us that Satan normally uses, those whom we respect. Your parents, whom you trust, might ignorantly push you to disobey God. They may not know it is wrong. That is why you must listen to the voice of God through His Word before making any decision.

Satan is still operating with his old wisdom, setting his agents up with anointed children of God for marital alliances. But whoever is wise among them will put God first in every decision that has to do with eternity.

A spouse who wants you to dress worldly is not rooted in God’s Word, even though he is the husband you need to respect. Let Jesus Christ come first. The young prophet was deceived by the old prophet, and it was the same old prophet who pronounced the judgment of death against the prophet he had deceived, even though he was the one who had misled him.

The one who misled you from doing God’s will may be the very one whom God will use for the assignment you despised.

If you decide to obey God’s commandments more than your spouse, God will preserve your marriage better than if you choose to listen to your spouse more than God.

Satan might be the one speaking through your spouse to see if you will deny Jesus. If you fail in this area, he will also be the one to accuse you before the throne.

Remember when he spoke through Peter to discourage Jesus Christ from His earthly assignment? Jesus quickly recognised who was speaking and said, “The Lord rebuke you, Satan. Your desires are of the flesh and not of the will of God.”

Prayer: Father lord, be the first and the last in every decision I will make in life, in Jesus’ name, amen.
