Colossians 2:10 (And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power.)
Christians’ perfection comes only in Christ; without Him, no one is complete. Unfortunately, there are many imperfect Christians in the congregations who, instead of repenting and moving forward to perfection in glory, claim the grace they have already trampled under their feet with pride.
This has become a stain on their spiritual garments, which will later prevent them from entering the gate of heaven after they die.
Satan takes advantage of this to keep them in the valley of mediocrity and prevent them from enjoying the fullness of God’s goodness.
Some Christians love to owe and buy things on credit without intending to pay back. This was their nature before they became born again, and they still maintain their stand in Egypt with that heavy load, without casting it into the Red Sea, yet they want to proceed with it to the Promised Land.
Yet they pray and fast on mountains for financial breakthroughs. Even if they had the money, it would be difficult for them to pay their debts because they hide behind grace to commit iniquity against the holiness of God and make unbelievers mock the God of Christians.
Most of these people are leaders of fellowships. They lead men in worship but are still covered with the filthy garments of debt. When God says we should owe no one anything, it is a lack of love that makes someone remain indebted and never become remorseful in their dealings.
These kinds of Christians need to remove their filthy garments before proceeding into the presence of God, or else Satan will use those garments to stop them at the gate and prevent them from entering. You cannot remain filthy in God’s sight and use your works to bribe your way out. Complete obedience is what brings perfection in His sight.
It is in Christ that we obtain perfection. It seems these kinds of people are yet to enter Christ; they are outside, and outside is where dogs and perverts dwell. They want to take a shortcut into His presence without passing through the gate, which is the way of the cross.
Unfortunately, many Christians are outside Christ while thinking they are inside, but the stains on their garments reveal otherwise.
No Christian who refuses to experience divine visitation or visit Calvary is fit to come into His presence. Joshua, the high priest in Israel, was visited by the angel, and his filthy garments were removed and replaced with garments of righteousness, where neither man nor Satan could accuse him. Concerning him, his accuser was brought to nothing by the intervention of the angel.
Isaiah was taken to heaven to see his wretchedness, and by His mercy, his filthy and uncultured tongue was purified by the coal of fire on the altar. All Christians must experience this in different dimensions before they can work for God perfectly.
Only God knows where you are being held down. He knows the area where a particular sin is blocking your progress.
Most Christians are being held by their tongues, many are held by their private part, and some are held by their throat.
If you do not allow Him to deal with it, that sin will in turn deal with you at the entrance to the gate, because nothing unclean shall enter.
Every Christian who is yet to visit Calvary will have an area where Satan stands against him in judgment, that is, his stronghold, the place of his armoury from which he launches his attacks against any area of physical or spiritual progress.
Satan may want to lead you through a shortcut, saying it does not matter, but the reality is that the shortcut cannot lead you into God’s presence, but to hell in the end.
Humans cannot win the battle over sin alone with the weapon of the flesh; Christ’s assistance is needed. He won the battle on the Cross over two thousand years ago. How can you be more than a conqueror if you do not allow Him to lead at the battlefront?
A lady who dresses half-naked on the street has already invited the spirit of lust upon herself. Men who behold her and are not born again may lust after her. This becomes an avenue for spiritual husbands to operate and make her life miserable.
If you allow yourself to be taught by the Word of God and become complete in Him, you will not find yourself in such a miserable condition, going from one church to another for deliverance while refusing to close the door that gave them an avenue to operate.
Until you close the door through total obedience and surrender to His authority, you are not complete in Him. One leg in and another out cannot see the face of God. Two-faced Christians are outside His presence.
Most Christians are outside while thinking they are inside. Many are looking for the door but are prevented from entering because they trust in themselves more than in God, and what belongs to their peace is hidden from their eyes.
The principles of heaven remain the same and can never be changed. Jesus said that if you do all that He has commanded and abide in His commandments, you will ask for anything, and He will do it.
Half obedience brings half testimony, but complete obedience to His ordinances brings complete testimony that the world cannot dispute.
Half obedience indicates that you are not yet complete in Him. If you keep this attitude until you die, you are in trouble.
We need the mercy of God by faith to complete the race. It is not by power nor by might, but by My Spirit, says the LORD.
You cannot be complete in Him when the flesh is still sitting on the throne, dictating the affairs of your life. It is at the cross that the flesh is crucified and washed by the blood from everything that offends.
Prayer: Father lord, make me complete in you, in Jesus name, amen
