The generation of Cain is the origin of showing off. They go to church to display their new attire and new cars, to impress others and make people question the existence of their God, asking, “Where is my God?”
But when God begins to bless people with pure hearts, those who diligently wait for Him and those who have right standing with Him, envy rises and turns the envious person into an enemy.
They worship to please their pastors. That is why, even when the word of God says otherwise, as long as their pastors are pleased, they see no issue.
They do not worship the Lord in spirit and in truth. Their worship is only a means of impressing others through vanity.
God warned Cain to repent, but instead, he went ahead and took the life of his brother. Nothing you do will make an envious person like you. Once the seed of hatred is planted, it will surely bring forth the fruit of murder.
If you are envious of someone who is endowed in your midst, examine yourself to see whether you have possessed the spirit of Cain before you commit murder like him.
The generation of Cain is the cause of holy wars in the church of God. Most of the battles we face as leaders do not come from outside. They come from those with whom we worship and pray together.
The friendliest man or woman in your gathering may come from this generation, only to initiate your children and destroy your happiness.
Those who genuinely serve God often face this kind of situation in the church of God, for that is where the children of Cain are gaining ground and working to disqualify people from following Christ. But in the end, they will be cursed.
Through prayers and supplications, do not allow them to destroy you as Cain destroyed Abel, for life continued even after Abel died prematurely.
The children of Cain are determined to make the church of God belong to them. They have therefore chased away the children of the kingdom in order to gain dominance.
This is the origin of witchcraft in the church and throughout the world. Envy leads to hatred, and hatred leads to murder…
No wonder the Lord says that whoever hates his brother has committed murder and has the blood of the innocent in his hands. Even if the person is still alive, he has already died in the corner of your heart. It is only his obituary that is yet to be announced.
Any spirit that opposes one whom God has favoured cannot originate from Him. It is the spirit of the devil, the same spirit that possessed Cain when envy began to brood in his heart.
Unless such a person repents, he will end up like Cain, a vagabond on the face of the earth.
They have chased those who genuinely desire to serve God out of the church, just as Cain chased Abel from among the living. Abel’s blood continued to cry for vengeance until the blood of Jesus came and spoke with the voice of mercy.
The generation of Cain chased Christ away from the temple and exterminated whoever believed in and confessed His name. They want to fill the world with their own kind so that no one will rise and attract their envy.
The church of Christ, which is supposed to be His bride, has fallen in love with the world. The generation that is supposed to become more Christ-like is now turning its attention to the prince of this world, advertising his possessions on the altar of God because the church is filled with this generation.
The body of Christ has aligned with the world and chosen to become Satan’s concubine. Instead of turning her attention away from the world, Satan redirects it against her relationship with Christ, thereby polluting the sanctuary of the Most High.
God demands obedience more than sacrifice. There is nothing that can replace it. He demands submission more than the offering of bulls and goats.
I believe this was what Abel did that made his sacrifice acceptable to God.
A child of God who cannot obey Him has already lost the battle. Even if you offer yourself on His altar and allow yourself to be consumed by fire, without obedience, it is vanity upon vanity.
Prayer: Father Lord, give Your Spirit preeminence over Your heritage. Let Your will prevail in Your church, and let every spirit of envy, hatred and rebellion be uprooted. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
