Compromise is when we fail to abide by all the ordinances of God and decide to mix it with our own error to make it acceptable in the sight of men.
Rev 22:18-19 ( for I testify unto every man that heareth the word of the prophecy of this book, if any man shall add unto this things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book ,and if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city and from the things which are written in this book)
We often compromise our faith to please our neighbors or self, but God wants complete obedience to everything He said, this is what shows our total submission to Him.
Signs of Compromise In A Believer’s Life
Compromise can make us remove some important messages of the Bible to please our hearers and to please our fallen nature. This won’t remove the potency of the word from fulfilling the mind of God.
At a point, if the devil doesn’t stop a man from giving his life to Christ and repent of his sin, he will manipulate him in compromising his faith and lose the purpose of redemption.

He knows that half obedience is rebellion in disguise, he understood this, but it’s unfortunate that most Christian couldn’t understand it.
Pharaoh represents Satan, as he saw that he couldn’t stop Moses from bringing God’s people out of his bondage, he tried many methods to keep them there, while serving their God in a strange land, but fortunately Moses didn’t fall into the wiles of the enemy, he ensured that he secured their salvation with everything that belongs to them out of Egypt.
Christians should be very careful when dealing with Satan and his antics, he is dealing with people of God with all the tactics Pharaoh used for the children of Israel.
Pharaoh increased the burden of the children of Israel. In similitude, if some people decide to give their life to Christ, enemy will increase his attack so they will be discouraged to surrender all due to multiple challenges.
He replicated the miracles of God, with counterfeit to manipulate lives so they will think, they can get it through another way. Even if it’s not from God as long as it’s doing what they expect, they’re satisfied.
He makes Christians compromise in serving God when they’re still under the manipulation of sin and the world.
I have never seen where it’s written in the Bible that Jesus sat down on round table talk with the Pharisees to compromise His Word, but it’s unfortunate that this is what we are doing now, to compromise with our enemy, and water down our messages, so we won’t attract attack from their camp.
Our fear dictates how far we can go with God, but true believer will not allow the world to dictate their relationship with God.
If devil can’t keep us in bondage, his next strategy is to make us compromise so he can maintain his as much bondage as possible.
Satan knows that if we can compromise to any degree, he will regain his dominion over us.
This is where problems of the church lies, hardly can you see any Christian organizations in this generation that haven’t compromised in one way or the other, this is what’s given Satan hedges over them.
Consequences of Compromise In A Believer’s Life
Compromise spells defeat for the people of God. We spoil Satan’s dominion when we uncompromisingly partake of the true passover sacrifice of the lamb, by submitting ourselves totally to the power of the Cross, this is where Satan lose his hold in whatever we do as Christians.
Carnal man seek to change man by changing the world, but spiritual man seek to change the world by changing man. This is the difference from carnality and the spirituality.
Amalekites represent Satan in the Bible; the Lord commanded that everything related to amalekites and their possession be destroyed totally.
Examples of People Who Compromised in The Bible
Saul compromised by saving some animals for himself in the name of sacrifice to God in the land, this is another compromise that children of God made with Satan, to keep his properties within them to use it for God in the process of serving God.
We brought over properties of Babylon in the name of wig and attachment with jewelries to worship on the altar of God, we can’t serve God while presenting Satan’s beauty on the altar, God want us to appear before him as natural as we are, not with the leaven of the Pharisees.
Saul rationalized within himself that the king of amalekites could be made ally or serve as slave to collect tributes from him, that is how some Christians committed sacrilege against God by retaining demons in them( which is Satan’s properties) to worship their God, beware, this is compromise, the things of the devil can’t be used in serving God! This is the antics of satan to pollute our worship before the living God.
Sacrifice will never be atoned for rebellion. Many believe good works can compensate for compromise or disobedience in other areas of life.
We substitute sacrifice for obedience by prayer of deliverance instead of total submission to the will of God.
This is the beginning of deception and divination, the origin of sorcery in the kingdom.
We may think witchcraft is conjuring evil spirits, but this is some of its extreme manifestation.
Subtle pressure to get our ways might fall into this category, this is subtle manipulation that grows into witchcraft if it’s allowed in the life of the saints.
Such can lead to extreme practice of sorcery in future if remain unchecked. As Saul failed to repent of his wickedness, it grew to become the cause of killing the priests and later consult necromancer in the end.
He confess, but never repented, confession is different from repentance, if we use the confession to have our ways in manipulating other to accept our will.
Many witches and wizards confesses but still go back to their vomit and become ten times wicked more than before, because their confessions gave them more power in the kingdom of darkness as Satan agents who are not ashamed of being wicked.
They used confession to wiggled their way into the midst of the saints to continue their wickedness, it’s not only confession that heaven needed, but to repent from all our sin and come back to Him.
It’s unfortunate that many Christians know more about Satan and his works more than they know about God, they study the world of witches and wizards more than they study their Bible, this is what deny them the knowledge of God and His power and made them bow for the threat of their enemy and compromise their faith.
Prayer: father Lord help me with your right hand of power never to compromise my faith in face of multiple challenges, in Jesus name.
