Rev 2:4 ( Nevertheless, I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left your first love)
Humans were created to have dominion, but sin placed them to serve what is not God and pay obeisance to the ones they suppose to rule.
The moment man comes to christ, he becomes his first love, all the attention of man tends towards knowing him and His ways.
Humans are next to God by divine setting, they’re place on the earth to serve as divine representative in the image of God, even the angels are at our service to help the heirs of salvation.
Any other position less than that is demotion of the highest order, we were born to rule, created to reign, but it’s unfortunate that what God ordained us to dominate are demanding for sacrifice from us.
Our dominion is in Christ, anyone that’s not found in Him will be subjected to the earth and won’t rise above anything created.
Some people became slave to currency and paper is having dominion over them unaware.
Anything man chose above God has become his god, whatever you disobey the law of God to follow has turned to your master; whatever that is standing between you and God has become stumbling block preventing you from occupy your position in Him.
Many people disobey divine law to submit to the law of poverty and afflictions, by being at the command of money, money that supposed to be our servant is ruling over us, this turn us to servants of Mammon without knowing it.
If money is removed from the life of some people, the next thing is to commit suicide, but when Christ sits in His rightful place in our life, every thing will fall into pleasant place.
It’s until we submit totally under the lordship of Christ, we won’t be able to challenge every disobedience that is standing against us.
What is your master, who is in charge of your life? This is solemn question we must answer before we are called to give account of what we spent our life to do.
Some can’t sleep without fiddling with their phones, they watched all the junks loaded on their phone before they sleep.
How will demons won’t come to torment in the dreams? This is the origin of spiritual spouse harassing someone’s dream life, and the essence of weird dream that doesn’t glorify God.
As they master you in the physical realm they will come to accomplish what they couldn’t finish in your dream.
After some people wake up from sleep, phone became their target, not knowing that this is the cause of depression in their daily activities.
We relegated God to the second place in our life, but want Him to control situations that is beyond us.
Many Christians prefer to loose their Bible instead of their phone to be stolen.
God can’t tolerate rivalry, if truly you’re His, He will have to separate you from all distractions that won’t allow you to behold His smiling face.
That church in the book of revelation was accused of forsaking her first love, they have compromise their faith with something lesser than God, instead of them to put Christ in total control, they end up exalting things more than His name.
Jesus Christ warned them that if they’re not careful, and refused to restitute, He will remove their candlestick out of it’s place.
That means they will no longer be under the light of God that was their guidance; this’ll bring their separation from the Holy Spirit.
It’s a things to confess Christ as Lord and it’s another thing to surrender to His lordship.
It’s when He remains as your first love that He remains in total control, any negative situation will end up in your favour.
God use wealth to test our obedience and loyalty to Him,( it’s not only poverty and afflictions God used) many Christians started as poor man or woman, they are always present in the church service, but immediately God remember and smile at them by prospering their ways, they end up turning their back on Him.
Anything you exalt more than God has taken His place, many denominations were faithful in preaching repentance and Holiness when they started, but when riches came, they started diverting to the other side.
Some Christians used Christ to enter the realm of wealth, the moment they got there, they becomes God enemy by doing what pleases the flesh, and trying pleasing the world.
God knows who gave Him the first place, He also knows those who are trying to use him for selfish reasons; He knows those who can substitute His presence for the ephemeral, He want to remain as the first love to block intruders that will like to invade our life.
Some love him at first, but when they see what they thought it’s necessary to them than His presence, they gave up.
That is the reason that not all who started well end it well, many were diverted on the way by things that occupied the sacred place of their heart without anyone knowing it.
Some Christians stopped attending church service because the church opposed the unbelievers they choose as partner, this prove that they’ve found what they love more than God .
These kind of people love Him for what he can offer, not because of whom he is.
He love us but want us to reciprocate it by loving Him with all our heart and our mind with our strength, that is when He manifest His love to us in full measure, and bring us to His purpose in Him.
Prayer: Father Lord, return me back to the love I have for you from the beginning by your mercy in Jesus name amen.
